Hhahaha, thanks Mag. I don't really like just taking a shot of my build in one piece or have pictures taken slowly and have it done all in 6 months. I like to finish stuff a little quicker but with a slow enough pace so I won't screw up. I was having second thoughts of building up this computer at first but now that it's all set and done, I'm not worried at all any more.

I plan on building up another computer in the next year or two and sell this stuff off for a decent amount, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. I'm gonna fix up my sisters laptop next cause she's giving to me. New monitor will go on it, new parts, more RAM, bigger HDD's and a new video card if it's possible.

Very nice Matt!!! Congrats on your first build. This is your first build right?

BTW - Do you have your wires under control now? ;)

Thanks Pako! And yes, my first build, and not my last :) And wires are still in the process of getting tucked, if I can find out how...

Rev - That carpet is getting replaced by hard wood floors :D

If you think that carpet is bad, then you should come to my home and see mine. There's pee and throw-up spots everywhere (by my dogs, mind you :P), and there's no padding at all. It makes Matt's carpet look like it belongs in a palace.

Thanks Duck. My carpet wasn't picked by me, we haven't had a chance to change it since we moved in and it matched the walls fine (for now) any ways. I'm getting a color similar to this next on my walls:

White moldings, white moldings around windows, new white windows :D And hardwood floors (so I don't get too much dust into my new PC case cause I'm not a good cleaner.

**Professional wire tuckers!!!! NEED HELP!**

I am trying to hide the IDE ribbon to my CD Drive and all the other cables, I heard of tucking it all behind the mobo or behind the mobo tray but when I tried that my cables were too short :( What else can you think of?!

Just tie them and make it look neat.

Can I suggest removing some pictures? On 5 MBps cable, it took forever to load them all..

Those pictures could've been a quarter of the size(more compression).

Can you pop the opposite side of the case off? This would allow some wired to be tucked behind the hard drive, optical drive baskets. Do you also have some extra room in those baskets for wire?

Nice computer you got there! 👍 When you start playing some games on it, tell me how you like that GeForce 7600 card. I am thinking about getting it possibly.

Yeah guys, I'll put the size to 640x480 (some res like that) So you can all see them better.

I can take the side off but I just don't seem how that will look any different. I WAS thinking of moving my mobo upside down to the other side so I can tuck the stuff under the motherboard but I don't know how much heat that will create with the ribbon touching or what ever. I'll just have to come up with something.

LittleBahamut - Thanks man, I'm getting Battelfield 2 soon for my birthday (Sept. 8) and I got Need For Speed Most Wanted so I'm still anxious to see that play. I'll definately send you a PM to let you know how this card is on those 2 games and F.E.A.R. :D

It's more the file size, the 1st picture is 640x426 and 320KB, when it could be 80KB. Are you using Paint?

It doesn't really matter to me now, since I have seen all the pictures.

Oh, ok Road Dog. Yeah, I use photoshop and I do increase the quality to max cause I don't like fugly pictures :P It's just me.

Thanks GT4_Rule :D

At 50 quality, they will still look okay.

Even better, just post imageshack thumbnails, and put all the pictures in your first post.

With the pictures, could you just put a link in the first post, that links to your Photobucket album? I could probably eat, poop out what I ate, take a shower, and play a few rounds of Battlefield 2 in the time it takes to load this page.

Yep, got some better organizing to do, however, all the wires are away from the mobo allowing good air flow. Just make sure you aren't blocking any intakes our exausts for air and you'll be fine. There are some self adhesive wire ties that might help. You can also drill mounting holes for zip ties to aid in wire management.

So how's the system work?

Has the PC been running smoothly? What happened to the error message you've been getting?

Well I can use some quality trouble-free PC right now...

Moral of the story - buy modular PSUs and round IDE/floppy cables. :P

Meh, I wouldn't worry too much. You don't have a side window so you can't see inside once the case is put together. Just keep them away from the motherboard and any fans and you'll be right.

Either way, looks good! 👍

Thanks guys.

Pako - I just wanna make it a lot nicer and cleaner for the air flow too. I did tap one hole in the floppy / hard drive holder up top. I could feed a wire through so I did a 1/2'' tap and it fits fine :)

The system is running good so far. The error still shows up but I'm ignoring because I still don't know how to get rid of it  I've tried everything, if any thing possible, that I know of to get rid of it but no luck :(

I'm upgrading to another hard drive. A 320GB Sata 3.0GB/s and I'm getting another gig of RAM :D I need it for FEAR. I played it today and it lagged in 1280x1024. I checked out how much RAM is being used and it's almost exceeding 1GB.

hehehehe Thanks.

After seeing some cases at HardForum.com, I gotta do neater. One guy almost eliminated all his cables, it was just SO clean.

Wow, a 320GB HDD...and another GB of RAM....that's cool.

Anyways, about the wiring; does it really matter whether if it's neat or not, because, it's not like you're going to look at the wiring for 8 hours a day and admire how neat/messy it is, right?

True, but the air flow has to be free of wires too, ya know?

And I updated the BIOS like 10 times already, it tells me to restore defaults each time too.
