Got one a few weeks ago and i've only driven it once. Personally a bit twitchy lost control a few times, but i'm not the best GT driver.

Does have the benefit of being very cheap though, about 40k is what i paid.

Not a terrible price considering you can get one for £27k in the UK used lol - not that GT5 reflects real prices - but its still a very fun car and looks good.

if it's realistic and anything like the real car itself it will be a poor performance buy, even at 40k credits.

IRL that car's nothing but a cruiser.

It's sold as the Chrysler Prowler in GT5 (used car) like the last couple years of it's existance, I have one but haven't driven it.

Just a little tip: The Prowler is actually a prize car. At least, that's how I think I got mine (Gold colored). It might have been a b-spec race prize...

I got a prowler for one of my 1000km tickets or whatever those are. Thing drives like garbage, but it is a nice yellow model so it looks nice. :)

Yet it has Plymouth engraved on the rear bumper, that always confused me. I remember briefly testing it in GT4 and it understeered like a pig, but my driving has improved much since then, so I wouldn't take me word for it. :P

I got one, and not long after I beat the crap out of one (as in, rammed into it, slammed it into the wall) in the Laguna Seca endurance race with my X1.

OT, but the guy across the street from me has 2 Prowlers. A lot of money to spend for pure novelty.

It is the late model, after Plymouth closed, and thus is properly listed as the Chrysler Prowler.
It comes in a gold color, which I find horrible.
The first thing I did was paint it with a dark metallic purple that almost perfectly matches the picture in the first post.
I've always been a fan of that car.

I miss the PT Spyder (which the PT Cruiser/Prowler are based on) from GT2. I saw a prototype once running on the road of that car.

I took mine out and snapped a pic for you.
The paint is called "Midnight Purple Pearl". I have no idea where I got it!

Plymouth did the world a disservice by even producing such a thing. Shame it's got to show its face in GT5. I'm sure there are people out there who love it though... there are people out there who love the PT cruiser too, so it wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks for the screens guys looks nice :D Worried about the handling though!

A bit harsh putting it as a disservice tbh - it's a nice because its different to the conventional car, has a bit more character in places. It's not the best car in the world or even anything overly special but it's different and thats why I like it.

I picked up a yellow one last night. The GT5 lighting engine makes it look quite impressive.

I absolutely HATE the PT cruiser, that was the car that ruined the hot-rod image, the Prowler pretty much brought it back up properly into the modern-age while still looking good and unique, and once fully tuned the Prowler isnt too bad. ;)
