I wasn't 100% sure if I should get GT6 on release or wait until the patches and stuff had been fixed, but so far it is excellent and I can't wait for further patches. However, still doesn't really come close to GT4 in my opinion, that game was the best in the series. Blew any other car game on console right out the water.

Null vote. More than "a few niggles," less than "very satisfied."

Overall, yes, I'm satisfied, but I actually feel as though they've taken a few steps back with this iteration of the franchise.

Grievances that people have with the game are well documented elsewhere :P so I won't rehash them here.

Extremely satisfied. More than I thought I would be, and more than most games I've played this year. The breadth of content, tracks, features, events etc is offering me incredible play time and value for money, and honestly I've already had some of the most memorable experiences in the game, even though I'm not even half way through it (still have put in 50+ hours mind).

Playing with all HUD options, driving line, assists etc off using a steering wheel, it's a superlatively immersive experience. Just me, the car (cockpit view), opponents and the road. Nothing else in the way. At times, it's stupendously realistic in atmosphere and feel.

Don't get me wrong, certain issues and physics or AI mishaps still occur, but they are minor in the grand scheme of things. Many regarding physics can be ironed out or tweaked with custom settings for me.

The real beauty has been in the unique experiences, the X2014 Jr championship, the Goodwood challenges (holy crap that X2010), coffee break challenges, driving an old classic slip sliding at the brink of the edge during a sunset, kicking around a custom tuned behemoth at night, Brands Hatch, Willow Springs, Matterhorn (so precarious in cars that like to spin out easily), Nurbergring, La Sarthe, Spa etc, driving at break neck speeds at night below a stunning star and moon lit night sky and so on and so on, hell, even the the moon buggy was awesome and totally bizarre.

When it clicks in GT6, and everything aligns in harmony, the experience is truly breathtaking and joyful. Thankfully there's been a lot of those moments, and tonnes of variety to keep things entertaining and fresh.

Hope they keep updating with new Seasonal events regularly as well, because I've really enjoyed them. I'm also super pumped to see the rest of the Vision GT cars. What a truly amazing addition. Even the concept art attributed to the different manufacturers is beautiful. A true feast for any car enthusiast or designer!

This game already dropped to $39.95 on Amazon.com. I feel ripped off. Gt5 in my opinion was much better. They could have just added cars and tracks and left the game's mechanics alone. I used to be able to tune my cars pretty well in GT5 and now they screwed everything up. Cars don't behave the same and even some cars drive like they have no tires at all in some races even when they have racing hard tires, and the same car can have comfort soft tires and drive well on a different track. The car in question is the 2010 Camaro SS LM racing car for $177,000. I couldn't even make one lap around the track without spinning out at every turn like it was black ice! I used this car for other races with comfort soft tires and was able to tear the track up. With racing hard tires it was like I had no tires at all.

Some of the graphics look a bit cartoonish too while others look great. The people look like they are from GT2 as compared to GT5 people. The money is not very good for payouts and the gift cars are sparse. I played GT5 for over two years and had over 775 cars. I probably won't play this game very much until they fix a ton of the issues that it has. It just isn't near as fun as GT5 was to me. GT5 was the best racing game ever. Hopefully they will eventually fix this game or the price of it will fall to less than $20.

Dissatisfied, beat the game in a week and a half and that's it. Same problems that GT5 had and nothing new in terms of peripherals.

I'm disappointed, right now. GT4 was Great. Awesome. Amazing. What happened? The game may look better, but, the content is lacking. What happened to Costa d' Amalfi, Citta di' Aria, Seoul, Hong Kong, Paris at night (St. George?), Grand Canyon, Infineon, Infineon!!!! (Awesome Track). Those where good tracks. I Don't frankly need 18 variations of miata, and 10 different Nissan Skylines and all the other crap that equals 1200 cars. I'd rather take 200 cars, if it meant getting those tracks. And some real endurance races. BUT. The game is not yet got all the content the designers have in store for it, so it may be, in a few months an amazing title worthy of the Polyphony heritage. (Pre GT5 heritage that is). What do you think the chance is that GT4 will be available for download in a few months?
