I now know what I can trade. Thanks for those that contributed. So know just vote for what you feel about these caps and I am not just talking about the 1 mill cap. I am also talking about the 1 car or 1 ticket cap, the 5 paints a day cap and the 5 items a day cap.

So do you think these are fair? Please leave a comment and speak your mind 👍

What about those museum things, car parts and tickets?

I think it's 5 museum cards, 5 parts and 1 ticket. I really wish that you could trade 10-15 paints per day. 5 is just plain idiocy.

Every day you can send:
1 Car or Ticket
5 Paints
5 Museum Cards
5 Tuning Parts (horns, tires, turbo, etc.)

I don't mind the limits, but i think the museum card limit should be 10 because thats how many you receive everyday as login bonus.

Okay. Thanks. I will let you talk this out while I tell people the trade is off because I thought you could trade 1 car and 5 tickets :dunce:

It's OK now that I have the majority of the really expensive cars but increase the cap to 10,000,000. That'll still prevent the trading of the X2010's and Ferrari F1's but allow LMP's to be traded again. Magnificent!

Also a special cap should be put down on the FGT too. There's no real point in trading it if it's just gonna be in the OCD every time...plus it wouldn't restricted as such like the Ferrari F1's otherwise.

For a Player it is a bit to much probably. I dont mind the restrictions though.

For a Company, its profit and reputation to publishers, its quite bad seeing that all players get all cars in two weeks instead of needing to spent months or years (please dont look at the grind aspect/gameplay flaw here - i just wanted to outline the basic business rules for a company)

This trade Limit is ridiculous. Especially because it count's for ALL
users on the PS3 system.

If I send a car and 5 colors, my brother with his account can't send anything anymore on that day!!!

What is this! There are more than 1400 museum cards. You get max 10.
Trade 5. Five a day! and the one you get are also double one.

Idiots with their limits. 1 car. max 1.000.000 what's the raison?
Very, very low price mony, but 14 Mil for a car!
I think he had a bad after Shock at PD

Your so right man, receiving duplicate cards is a complete waste, and make collecting them even more confusing. If you do not dupe or trade cards whether or not you ever will receive a complete set will be based on random luck, same goes for the rare paints. When you build such a flawed system, it begs to be exploited.

I don't really care now since I have collected most of the cars that I'm interested in, including all of the over 1 million credit cars.

I think the caps should be higher

1: 5 Cars / Tickets per day
2: £10,000,000 price cap
3: 10 Paints, 10 Horns, 10 Museum cards per day.

The £1,000,000 value cap is the worst I think.

I talkted about this in the "Trading Beyond the Patch" thread in the market section.
Cap Yes....1 Mil....No

As stated above, I agree with raising the cost cap to say around 7.5mil, it will allow all the LMs and other racers to be traded but stop the trading of the X2010, F1s, etc that caused this whole mess to begin with.

I also agree with limiting the number of trades per PS system per day, but I think 3 would be fair, as webwolf said, most households only have 1 PS3 in it, and if you have 2 people playing only 1 can trade per day....no good, 3 being a fair number in that it would allow multiple users to trade on the same day, but still once again prevent people that caused this mess from created max number of sub accts and trading 20+ times amongst themselves or others.

They are the ones that wanted OVER 1000 cars in the game for us to collect, it would take almost 3 years to trade every single different car at 1 per PS3 per day.

Parts can stay at 5, horns can stay at 5 (theres only 280 and most people dont get more than 1 a week to begin with).

Museum cards, and paints. You can be given up to 10 a day, so as stated above, make the limit 10 per user per day.

Also, seperate but included in my reasoning, selling cars...PD capped the trading value, so they should allow us to sell ALL cars. Now, I dont mean they should keep the same equation with the more expensive cars, but a sales cap. Right now you can sell a 495k car for just about 130k, increase the equation to go to 1mil cars to be sold for up to 300k, then beyond 1Mil in purchase value capped at 350k....if I want to sell my 20mil vettel that you gave me as a prize and will never be driven, it should be my option to sell it for 350k or so....not just "remove it from garage".

I'm done...lol

I don't think there should be a selling cap or if there was it should be at least 1mil I didn't bother with b-spec for ages so I traded for a toyota 7 then I won one I don't want to sell it for 350k I'd want at least 1mil similar thing with the zonda r I save up and bought one then I won another. I think you should get at least half of the value of the car if it's over 1mil unless they lift the cap

To add to your point delta-assassin- I have every car, some multiples, if I sold them all I would get back 16,486,196 Cr. Thats not even enough to buy just one of the historic race cars.

Agreed. Not that I have a ton of million dollar cars but I have 275 cars for a wopping total of 5 million... If your going to have 1000 cars and a random ucd then there shouldn't really be any cap except on x1s.

The only price caps that there should be are on the $20 million cars. Those should be the only ones you shouldn't be allowed to trade.

I have an idea. They should introduce a system where you have to trade that is similar in value. So you could trade an X2010 for a 330 P4 Race car but you can't trade it for a Peugeot 905 Race Car. This would mean that they would have to introduce a marketplace where everyone goes to trade their cars because you need to trade at the same time.

I hate the caps. Why cap the total credits you can earn at 20 million? Why not let people keep accruing credits? What's so bad about someone possibly having 50 million or even 100 million?

I hate the trading cap. Killed trading for me. But we can still trade paints!!! :ouch:

I thought the restrictions were added as the PSN servers couldn't handle the load from everyone gifting so many cars each day. The current system has greatly reduced the number of users trading.

Nothing to do with fairness...

But if they did that the same eople would go back to duping their 20mil car to complete the trade anyway, it would have to be a but more of a complicated system so that once the car is entered into the trade it would have to be loaded up online and if the person tried to reload a save the car would be removed from the trade server and back in the garage meaning a more complex server setup to now handle the trade system as well

I don't know if I'd use the operative word "fair" in regards to the trading caps.

My question would be: Fair... as compared to what?

It's PD's game, and they can include whatever mechanic they choose. That said, I *do* think it would be fantastically helpful for me if there weren't any kind of trading cap. I'm a bit OCD, and I'd prefer if I could trade the cars in and out of my garage, to arrange them better. o_O

I understand (the purported reasons) why the trade caps are in place. It'd be nice if they weren't, but they are. C'est la vie.

Fair? It's PD's game. They don't have to be fair.
Good? Yes, no more X2010 dupers.
Great? No. I'd like at least 2 cars per day and the cap up to $6,000,000.

I like how the cap did wonders to give the Marketplace a semblance of civility.
