^ Pretty much THIS. I know some people are into the tunner thing and like their car to look somewhat "flamboyant", but in my personal opinion I don´t see the appeal to have this option unless if it´s applied to RM cars, OR the example that I gave above this quote.
 That´s so true! That´s what I basically wanted to say in my post above, but I didn´t want to hurt no ones feelings. It is an age thing. There is a point were you mature as a car enthusiast, and the whole Fast and Furious thing doesn´t impress you anymore. Kids get excited with bright colors and loud noises. As a mature adult you become boring, but you´re proud of it :)

You do realize that both of the posts you are agreeing with were in support of a livery editor, correct?

Do you do nothing but moan? That's all I ever see you posting, moan about this winge about that, definitely a glass half empty guy!
There is no reason to have another one of these topics every two months.

I say yes and no. Yes because I can advertise my Motorsports/GT5 Website, and no because stupid people will make designs with Bob Marley, and other terrible designs on the cars. That's why Forza has lame cars on the online market. Do that's what I think.

What I don´t agree on is the excessive and nonesense use of it. But that´s a matter of personal taste. The feature would be nice, though. Like i said, making the Gulf livery for the Ford GT would be awesome. Oh, wait... the LM version has it already...

PD needs to take notes. The liveries and customization is amazing. This is why people like Forza:

Yes, as a matter of fact I would like a livery editor. Both to make my Taurus SHO look like the old Mark Martin #6 Valvoline NASCAR, and to write "If you can read this, you're a brony" on the back of everything else.

Yea i'd like an editor too. I'm now already trying to make special versions of cars like the BMW M3 GTS and the Lambo LP-570 Superleggera. Decals would make those cars become real even more. And not to forget, decals can create good accents between different colours on the car, which makes the car nicer. Racing decals too would be nice, because some race cars in GT5 could use a bunch cause they don't look very racey in my view...

Hell no, theres a time and a place for nonsense like vinyl stickers + livery designs >>> Need For Speed.

Like a race track?💡

As Toronado said, there is and was already a thread on this. (I started it) We really don't need another. Just discuss it in one of the existing ones.

The poll results from mine: (409 voters)

im really sorry.... okay i will do it next time, thanks...

With vinyl wraps.

GT6 release day - lots of nice cars online
2 days after release day - every car will sport an 'alien smoking a spill' decal.
4 days after release day - ming-o-car and penis special first seen in the wild.
6 months after release when 2% of people are left playing it - nice tasteful decals.

If there's an option that can "turn on/off livery" so it wouldn't have a problem

It's not a big deal, though if it keeps on it becomes a big deal. Just remember to search next time. 👍

So I'm guessing all those saying no don't touch any of the TC or RM models?

P.S.

What one would you rather see online(please don't ask why I did what I did to the SP1 as I don't know).

YES! I would love a livery editor so I can make my car unique :)

There seems to be a few who hate the idea of the feature being implemented. If there is a feature to limit the kb/mb or disallow vinyl designs in a particular lounge, it would be a great addition.

I wonder if GT6 were released with the livery editor and also had the option of the consumer buying a copy of GT6 without said feature also disallowing the possibility of viewing other users designs online...both discs sold for the same price..

..Wonder what the sales figures for the disc without livery editor would be?....

Of course they should... 👍

Or just allow an option to turn it on/off :)

It's because it doesn't have ponies, isn't it?

Immediately after implementation: Initial rush, those on at the time race to be the first with custom liveries.
Hour 1: First low-effort "Sonic Rainboom Special" spotted in the wild.
Hour 6: Seriously offensive liveries become common, but have not intersected with ponies yet.
Day 1: Pony liveries become more common.
Day 2: The first really high-quality pony liveries are sighted.
Day 5: High-quality pony liveries widely circulated, quickly becoming obnoxious.
Week 1: Most online rooms are now full of powder blue, rainbows, and the number 20. Offensive imagery and low-effort garbage makes up most of the rest, with reasonably good original and replica liveries holding a shaky grasp on less than 1%.
Week 2: First offensive pony liveries start appearing.
Month 1: Offensive pony liveries have become painfully common. Online is officially hopeless without a watchful host and an option to selectively filter out other player's liveries.
Year 1: Ponies and offensive imagery are finally becoming less common as the novelty wears off and less-serious players move on to other games.
Year 2: Livery editor finally gets some really good use as the ratio of serious to casual players increases. A few bronies still represent, mostly with Mustangs and (to some degree) Ferraris, and immature, unimaginative people still have their offensive imagery, but it's finally looking like obnoxious liveries will soon be in the minority.
GT5 online service discontinued: Somehow that never happened, and GT5 goes offline for the last time with more than 50% of in-use liveries still stupid or annoying. Meanwhile, the cycle is starting over in GT6.

Mark my words.

I still want one though.

As to the SP1 above: I'd almost call that good-looking. It's probably not something I would do, but it's a ton better than some of the stuff I've seen online.

I personally would only really use this to put decals on my cars , imagine the back window of any drag car.

I do however know a few people who loved doing this in other games and would spend a LOT of time doing it on here.

yeah they must implement the livery turn on/off options, i know not all people like it but if they implemented it, i would like design it like the nascar not like the street racer cars :)
