It's nice to see the power / torque chart again, but why aren't there any figures? I agree there are some, but not really enough to make the thing usable.

I just hope that PD does the F1's the same way they did before. I.e. adding more to the US version, with special names, and historical references.

That would make it woth the extra wait for getting it.
I thought you Americans didn't like F1 and think Nascar and stuff is the fastest ect(wich its definately not) :D

and i hope there will be same amount of f1 cars in pal!!

what's the max speed?

and one more thing....
can sauber c9, when tuned to 1185ps, REALLY go 440km/h on lemans straight?
can you tune the f1 car?

ya i also like to know that and the fact if it's the very best car in the game(overall) even if al other cars are fully tuned

I'm guessing its the same way it was in GT3 where the F1 cars didn't have the highest top speed but they were the fastest cars at most tracks except for the test course and maybe Le Mans.

I believe in 88 or 89 the Sauber C9 got up to around 250 MPH (approximately 415 kph) at Le Mans before the chicanes were added.

250Mph is not 415kmh... Its 402kmh, Its still very fast, but not as fast. I hope GT4 will let us reach speeds liek that in some of the LM cars.:D

you'd be suprised to see how many of us Americans dislike Nascar. But it would be nice if they still have the F094/s from GT3...But i doubt that since no one has answered my question.

No the f094/s are not in, just look at the car list

wow, sauber can go 470km/h! than i guess it is the fastest car in the game?
no because the f1 can go 300 through medium-corners and the sauber will crash or have to cool down to 250, also they have to brake lots earlier cause f1 brakes are way more powerful, and to make it even stronger: the F1 will certainly win wen its fully tuned, it will blast also 420 on straight and 340 through corners. But anyway the Sauber c9 is i think one of the best after the f1.

With the help of NOS (so only one straight...) :sly: But the car was driveable.

Without NOS and with a strange setup (I wanted to see if the car could fly...), I made 440, but the car was very bad in the turn.

And I don't have every Le Mans car of the game. In fact, I have only 2, the CLK GTR and the Sauber C9.
So who knows, maybe the Suzuki Escudo will be faster :dopey:

If it's like GT3 (which I'm guessing it is) you won't be able to tune the F1 cars. You will, of course, be able to change the set up of the car, but you won't be able to buy parts that add hp, etc...

BTW,
Official speed record on the Mulsanne Straight (or Hunaudières, for French fellows), has been set during the 88' Le Mans 24h. Roger Dorchy, driving a WM-Peugeot (an artisanal prototypes factory, now known as WR), set the speed of 405km/h in the early evening.
In 1989, Kenny Acheson, driving the now famous Sauber reached 400km/h during practices.

Sadly, in 1990, it was the end of the real straight...

Okay guys, sorry to sound like the needy uncle, but let's get back on-topic here, there are other threads for what you are disussing, so make use of them instead :)

so its looking like the sauber is to gt4 what the 787b was to gt3?

Looks that way. but what about the Audi R8 and the Bentley Speed 8? I thought they would be the fastest LM cars in the game.

AHEM... this thing on? Come on guys, seriously, it's disrespectful to hijack someones thread and start talking about a completely different topic that the thread was intended for. There are many other threads for what you are talking about, please use them instead and keep this thread for what the subject is intended for.
