Arcade mode only has 10 colours. I guess black is the only special colour.

Ok so if i buy the game , i can use they F1 in Arcade mode already or not?, wich cars are unlocked if you have done nothing and just wanna have an drive in the beginning ( the first 40 minutes i have it i will just go a couple of times down the nurburgring)

I realize this would be very boring and time consuming for you, but could you PLEASE take a screenshot like this one, in every colour? PLEASE! :)

You start with 240+87 cars in arcade mode, you unlock the cars and tracks while you play GT Mode.

You will not be able to drive F1 at the start, not until you finish that damn long Formula GT championship or Nurburgring 24 hours.

Are there also Le Mans cars or other really fast racing cars to begin(Arcade Mode), so you can speed around the nurb to test.

Check my GT4 cars gallery (screenshot thread), they contains the cars available from the start in GT Mode, I guess that also applies to Arcade mode.

Thank you very much for at least considering it :) I know it must get very tedious to be doing all these requests, but if you took a pic of every colour the F1 car is available in, that would be the last request coming from me :) (which is all I wanted in this thread anyway, but you went over and beyond) :)

The front wing is definitely not 2005 spec, as the FIA has mandated the front wing to be significantly higher than previous years, in an attempt to curb cornering speeds.

if you compare the clearance on the Polyphony Digital car's front wing with a 2005 spec F1 front wing, you'll notice they are near identical. The Polyphony Digital car's front wing is clearly higher than the 2004 spec F1 front wing. Simple photo comparison shows this.

I'm afraid I have to strongly disagree with you on this matter. For one, the car is even labelled 2004, not 2005, that's a clear, yet simple giveaway right there. Secondly, 2005-spec F1 cars are only just now rolling out for unveiling (so far only Toyota and Sauber) so that is another reason why I have to disagree with you.
Another reason, which should be an obvious one, is that the regulations for the 2005-spec Formula One cars was only just finalized in November, so this would not have left PD enough time (or reason) to make the car 2005-spec.
To sum up, the car does not carry a 2005-spec front wing, if it did, it would be name 2005, not 2004 (to signify that it represents the ideal image of a 2004 car, not 2005).

As you can see, the 2004 wing is still fairly high, but the 2005 wing is significantly higher, leading me, and others, to believe that the F1 car in GT4 is based on 2004 regulations, not 2005 (hence why they named it 2004, and not 2005).

It's clearly 2005 spec.

EDIT: Attachment has a straight line tool from Photoshop showing there is extremely little exaggeration on height due to angle. Also shoes where it lines up.

the aero accessories look like the Renault, with trhe Ferrari body on the sidepods. The nose is not Formula One. Maybe cart or indy or something. Front wing looks to be like the 2004 McLaren in a 2005 spec due to new regulations. The rear wing... BAR? I'm not sure. The curve is BARish... but the plates aren't.

EDIT: After looking at the red one (as opposed to the white and purple one which all my observations are based off), the rear wing isn't F1 related. My bad about the BAR thing. The other view doesn't really show the kink.

Indeed, Front wing is 2005, rest is 2004, so its a 2004-B F1 car, but the named it 2004

NOW this is what im talking about!, thats the sense of speed I want... Its going to be amazing! , pitty with the gearing though slowing on the straights by the sound of it!, wow the sparks were very well done as well! not to many... just the way it should be!, but it leaves me wondering if F1 cars of real life would "bottom out" on the straights?..

The AI on the cars doesnt seem as bad as everyone else seems to make it sound.. sure for us that being (people with all gold prologue and all gold 100 percent gt3) but to the casual gamer it is much improved in challenge.. hell at one point the cars in this video seemed to attain a demon like pace... even passing around tighter bends from the side, *(the dark blue car) that was most impressive not to just drive into the back of you. seemed to be split though... through most corners the ai seemed to hit apex easily...and have a very equal pace.. but on others your line , was much better, allowing you to quickly make up the ground lost. 👍

I'm sorry for being so stubborn, however, something just didn't sit right with me with you guys thinking it is the 2005-spec wing, which it isn't (otherwise it wouldn't suit being called a 2004 car).
So (and I should have picked up on this sooner being such a huge fan of Ferrari) I went searching, and found the following pics. What you see below, is the 2004 Formula One car from Ferrari, the F2004. Of course, the wing was, you guessed it, within the 2004 regulations, yet, the wing is still visibly higher than other 2004 cars. I should have picked up on this sooner, even the 2003 wing from the F2003-GA is quite high compared to the rest of the cars (I even have the chrome F2003-GA model from Hot Wheels on top of my computer desk staring me right in my face, lol.
So here you go guys :)

that video of Egghead, replay of a white F1 car at the nurburgring, outside view, 5"08 lap time, there´s a music playing in background that i would like to know the name, but i do not. :nervous:

ps: i can´t find this video again here in the forum, i don´t remember which thread it is.

Shell
Mobil 1 (in)
Elf
Esso
Petronas
Castrol (in)
BP

One of life's many mysteries taht will go unsolved ... but it would add some individuality to each car (ie BP on the yellow/green, Petronas on the silver/black, Shell on the yellow/red, Elf on the blue, etc).

And what is it with black cars? Black 787B, Black GT-One, Black Formula ...
