No, another PSN: nd4holdenspd
Guess who I've been racing with.:sly: I met him in the F430 vs GTR World Event. He was using a Yellow F430. Thought this was pretty interesting as we always wondered who PD were online. He wasn't unnaturally fast (I was faster). I sent him a message but according to his profile he only speaks Japanese. Anyone want to send him a message about private rooms in Japanese? Sorry if this has been brought up before, my computer died and for some reason I can't search the forums from my PS3, lock this thread if necessary.
His name was POLYPHONY_STAFF :)

Yeah, I raced him a few days ago. I'm a bit sceptical about him really being a PD employee.

He was pretty clean though, most of the time. If he's not PD then I hate him for pretending he is.

I wouldn't bet on it either. I mean if I were to name myself JEREMY_CLARKSON [GB], would you think I am the real deal?

I highly doubt he is PD staff, anywone can make up that PSN. The internet is full of people like that.

(I have yet to find devs advertise they are devs in online games)

Quite simply they never do it, because if they advertise their true nature, then any race that they're in becomes a false race where everyone behaves differently because of a dev being present.

The beta testers for Spec II won't use their online name for testing purposes for the reason mentioned above.

Never trust on name alone. Especially if you're quicker than he is!

;)

My nickname Kazunori_Yamauchi:) Am I ? nahhh.. I am Elvis for sure.:P

haha, well about 7 months ago there whas a guy with this nametag(Kazunori Yamauchi )and he drove like a 4year old,so that also whas someone who prtended to be someone else...like said above ,its just too easy to make up anyname....
and im sure guys from pd dont use names like that beceause their testing will be hampered by the fact that all other online racers will behave different beceause they know who's racing.....:)

spyrrari.

I'm sorry but I've seen him race in videos and Yamauchi isn't really all that good.Hahaha..But I wouldn't imagine him driving like a 4 year old..

Okay.
Then I'm gonna use the name ANGELINA_JOLIE [US] and prepare myself for being rammed from behind all the time. :D

Remember that the country is put there automagically, so you'll remain [DE]

I'm sure there must have been a famous motor racing German, but can't think of one at the minute.

EDIT: Thought of one.

You could be Jochen_Mass [DE]

:dopey:

If he uses a US PSN account he will get the US tag, am I right?

I'd even drive the wrong way to have a bump on your headlights. :D

No, it's automatic. It detects the country you're in, regardless of the account used.

Not sure about that. I do have a Japanese Prologue though, so I could at least pretent to be Kaz himself. And I could always get a US version. I think those would show the countries of the games origins, wouldn't they?

I wouldn't say that, in this video he races against Sebastien Loeb at Circuit de la Sarthe I (chicanes). Sebastien Loeb gets 3:11:284 (or something like that), and Yamauchi gets 3:11:629 (or something like that) which put them in 10th & 11th position respectively for Gran Turismo 4 Online Test Version.

That just proves Sebastian Loeb isn't all that good of a driver. :dopey:

Daan, can't think of a famous German driver? I hope that's an attempt at sarcasm :-) Otherwise Mike the shoe maker is going to be a tad upset!

As might "quick Nick" and the crop of young Germans that have entered F1 recently.

I'd be the last person on earth to use the name Schumacher. I'd go with Stefan Bellof, the Nordschleife record holder.

Even if it was true Staff from PD, Don't message him. I bet they get 100s of emails each day from fan boys asking for this and that. They do might listen to few, but I bet they really know they need private rooms because they mentioned this before releasing GT5P

I'm disagree because i live in france and my main id is canadian so i have [CA] tag and so on with my french and japanese id.

Oh, I see.

I said that because when I use my JP PSN account to do some time trials, I get the japanese flag in the rankings. And whenever I use my spanish account, I get the spanish flag.

Haven't tried it on online races tho.

Why oh why would you blokes want to pretend you're from another country?!

I personally have multiple PSN accounts so I can download some of the different things, I used my JP PSN account to download the GT5P demo that went out last year, so it can be useful from time to time.
