Positive Hacking/Modding?

Just wondering what the communities thoughts are on "positive" hacking. Why I call it that is because this is reasonable, realistic mods. Such as giving a car that can only have 300hp stock, 700hp like a real life modification. Or a GTR with 1500hp like an AMS Alpha 12. So basically nothing obscene. Another example would be FRS or GT86 with 500-600hp. All reasonable and you ASK THE LOBBY HOST before using them. Thoughts? Personally I think Yes ONLY AND ONLY IF IT'S REASONABLE, HAS A REALISTIC COUNTERPART WITH SAME HP, AND HAVE HOST OK.

My view... No. Just because you have the ability doesn't make it a good idea. Once you start playing with the code, you're bound to break something eventually. Close Pandora's box.

This is exactly what I've been doing. I'm using my 750hp 4 rotor rx7, and get slammed by an idiot in an Audi r8 40,000hp. Where's the need?

I like the thought of a rwd Skyline of any generation, a rwd impreza or Evo. An RB26DETT powered Nissan silva of any shape. It's what goes on in the real world! What's the harm in replicating?

I see it acceptable and pd should look on this as a good thing, it shows them what we truly desire, wheel fitments, running gear swaps etc.

I completely agree with the statements of "you don't know what cars what anymore". But I don't race online and use free run lobbies. My serious racing takes place in lounges. If you can trust people in your own lounge they shouldn't be on your friend list.

If people break things in the code, the game file corrupts and that's them snookered. If they mess something up in the car, the game simply won't load, or in personal experience, the car won't rev as it isn't connected to an engine lol.

But I completely agree with realistic modifications.
