What has surprised me the most so far is how incredibly well soundproofed it is.

If you're thinking of buying a Mazda, explore beyond Soul Red.

There are some really beautiful colors.

Mine is Platinum Quartz, the photos don't do it justice. It changes tone dramatically depending on the light.

Ceramic White and Red Artisan (exclusive to the CX-80 and CX-90) are gorgeous.
Buttons and knobs and switches on dash, as god intended. 👍

These were some photos a good friend of mine took back in May. He does excellent automotive photography. His Instagram: robs.povs

I am extremely close to giving the green light on a CX-60 Azami in that colour.

My current car is a 2011 Mazda 6 Luxury Sports hatchback with the 2.5 and 5-speed auto.
There's nothing wrong with it apart from souvenirs from the shopping centre carpark, but it's just ticked over 190,000kms.
I just had it serviced as per the book at my local Mazda dealer, and it was given top marks for its condition.

So, the real question I face is this:
If the 6 is in such good condition for a 15 year old car, why do I want to spend almost AUS$80K on something new?

🤔 What to do, what to do?

I had, and still have a 2005 Accord CL9 2.4 Executive with all the extras.

330,000 KMs and the car is still in very good condition.

But I'd been wanting something new and more fuel-efficient for a while.

Besides, European politicians are forcing us to drive more environmentally friendly cars if we want to avoid restrictions on entering city centers.

In the end, it depends on your financial situation.

That Mazda 6 could last much longer.

But if you can afford the CX-60, go for it, there are few things more pleasurable than driving a new car.

As a fun fact, the European Accord CL7/CL9 and the Mazda 3 Sedan are almost the same length: 4665 mm and 4660 mm respectively.
