Hi all,

In hopes of figuring out what can be improved with my GR.4 GTR's setup, I'll post my setup here.

Please share yours if you have it including your time on the track.

Ride height: 60 F - 109 B
Frequency (hz): 2.40 F - 2.50 B
ARB: 2 F - 5 B
Compression: 53 F - 56 B
Rebound: 84 F - 83 B
Camber: 1.8 F - 1.4 B
Toe: 0.00 F - 0.10(in) B

Downforce: 250 F - 450 B

LSD:
5-5
40-30
5-5

Gears ratio:

Final Gear 5.000
Max speed 240 KM/H

Thanks! I tried it but found the back end to step out a lot of me. So I took the rear anti-roll bar up to 8, and added TC of 1. Just hit 1.48.2 ... almost a second off my previous time.

Brake: 1

Ride height: 82 F - 102 B
Frequency (hz): 2.80 F - 2.80 B (no need to change here till now cause the car is stable over curbs)
ARB: 7 F - 5 B
Compression: 55 F - 55 B (standard)
Rebound: 85 F - 85 B (standard)
Camber: 3.0 F - 3.0 B (standard)
Toe: out 0.25 F - in 0.25

Downforce: 250 F - 510 B (maybe rear a bit down..maybe 500)

LSD: (low values for stable accelerating)

That's cool to hear! I'll give it a go myself and post the results

I forgot to say... On mine if I put the Final Gear Ratio to 5000 it runs out very early. Set the same max speed, but a final of 3800.

I am obsessed now. At 1.48.0 now... I have to get down to 1.37.0. I just simply can't see where I am supposed to find that much, let alone 1.36.4 or whatever the record is. WTF? I feel like I am on the limit, but obviously not lol

break earlier, try to go smooth around the corner..on that track u have to let the car fly.. its a hard track to be fast
 
after around 50 laps with the gtr i could not manage a time like with the viper...

my average laptimes are 1.48:0 -1.48:6 and my fastest is a 1.47:887

dunno what these cracks in the top ten do that they do 1.46 with that car

I thought about trying another car, but I've gotten comfortable with that GTR.

The 1.46 guys simply must make up that extra second in the slow corners. Perfect entry angle and carrying considerable speed to be just on the track limits.
 
ok i figured it out..it was the first corner

NEW pB: 1.47.248

Ride height: 60 F - 109 R
Frequency (hz): 2.40 F - 2.25 R (after trying alot that feels the best over the curbs)
ARB: 7 F - 5 R
Compression: 53 F - 55 R
Rebound: 85 F - 81 R
Camber: 1.8 F - 3.0 R
Toe: in 0.05 F - in 0.14-0.12 R

Downforce: 250 F - 450 R

LSD: (higher values for controlled but good accelerating)
front rear

Final Gear 4121
Max speed 270 KM/H

Wheel G29

PS: maybe i can put a bit more power to the rear diff and maybe more mechanical grip to front

I just did the daily race a couple of times with it, and I'm liking it! I can't quite get near your lap time with my controller, but I got top 3 the last couple of races with it, from starting in the back.

nice to here u can play a bit with the rear diff..to be more aggressive out of corners

Hmm looks very similar to what I posted last night especially the LSD's and final gear.. only thing different is rear ride height :P

i play on all setups with 270 and final gear was max rpm before braking first shicane..i looked to ur link yeah its the same... and almost everywhere they are driving with that lds and the rest..yeah i drove not long enough with the viper thats the reason why standard..ur welcome aswell mate

Absolutely beautiful. Managed to get a 1:46.609 with your set up! Thank you for sharing! :)
 
Just run a 1:44.5 with the viper after a couple of attemps and I'm certain I can go faster. Not sure how to get my screenshot up on here let alone a video though :)
 
I appreciate the sharing of setups. I wish they could be shared in the activity feed and downloaded in game. I can put in the laps when I get a good tune, but I am terrible/impatient at finding a good tune myself. That is what I loved about the Skippy in iRacing, barely any tuning required track to track.
