*sigh*

Well mine is on a coffe table in lounge with 22" LED as the 50" is main veiwing tv so I don't use it that often which is OK.

BUt I am now totally on a mission to get something even remotely similiar to some of these far king sweet rigs here... I am in awe gentlement, in awe

Yup, Mayaman is my inspiration for once I get a little more room and when 1080p projector prices drop a little more. I love the fact you don't have to deal with bezels.

^^ Is that seat out of a 90's Accord?

I have to give you one tip... grab a sheet of plywood so you can strengthen the sides, because that looks like you have like 2 inches of sway for every steering motion. Or do you take it apart when you're done?

Cheap DIY'er.

Yikes, is that driftwood or did you stain it that color? I guess the distressed/antique finish is in though!:D I agree with what he said, you need to fasten the two uprights and crossmember at multiple locations to achieve a sturdy wobble-free sim rig. Another 2x4crossmember attached horizontally to all three should do the trick.

Getting closer...... (can you guess what game I play most? LOL)

Cleaned up the wiring (75% complete, still have more to do on the side you can't see), did some more trim work, still need to do a little more paint, but overall it's pretty close to being done.

I went ahead and bought some new color printer ink and some sticker sheets from a computer shop, fired up Photoshop, and started making stickers. Also made a banner too (main purpose is to hide wiring, but I think it looks pretty decent.

The outline of the excess sticker material only shows up in photos, you can't see it normally unless you put your face right up to it. I left space in the middle for when Fanatec decides to release the CSW, those areas will be mounting points for my F1 and GT steering wheels.

Lots of white space for a big GT logo ;)

Of all the mechanical skills I've picked up over the years, welding is definitely my favorite.

Just a suggestion, with the television that high up, you might want to consider a small platform for the Playseat just to raise it up about 6" or so. You will be surprised how much more immersive it feels when you are eye level vs looking up.

Which is exactly why I built platforms my PlaySeat and then Obutto.

Here's my setup for now... Display is an 82" Mits, Thrustmaster T500 plus shifter, Playseat Forza Motorsport 4, and a few accessories for added realism.

Nice setup!

For an 82" screen, that has a fairly small bezel. I think you owe it to yourself to buy 2 more just like it and start triple screen action!

That 82 is nice. !!! Is it a DLP? I have a 65 mitsu and it great for games.
Although I am about to smash the thing as it has recently developed a love for stuck pixels. First week of november I got the first dreaded white dot. Now I have 22 as of last night. Researching has led me to believe it is a mitsu dlp issue as many people have been having the same problem. I would look into it if I was you as there seems to be no fix other than a new light engine. :( I figured I would have this tv for about ten yrs as my main tv but in 5 i have replaced the bulb twice now this.

Im not trying to scare you or bash your tv, its awesome!!!!, just want to inform you of some issues I have experienced with mine.
