Correction:R1 changes the lights from high beam to low beam.

Here are some shots I took from the most recent race of the PURE sanctioned JGTS online racing series which we organize on GTPlanet. As you can see the race was at Nurb 24h which covered 12 laps ~ 1:40 minutes and a full day/night cycle.

I felt these shots were fairly realistic but were more so a nice showcase of GT5's ability to make day/night transitions look and feel amazing:
