Figured why can't we have our own thread about why this new patch is a great idea. Loves the idea of taking tires out of the equation when trying to setup a fair PP race. Also now my replays from my seasonal events can be watched. Fantastic! Also helps cut down on the dup'ing of cars since that is prolly the main reason it was created. But for a player like me that does things the right way, and plays the game the way it was designed I have no hard feelings about this new patch. Heck that just means I'll be playing it longe rto ge the cars I would love to test out.

Enjoy grinding Indy over and over and over and over and over anc over and over just to get that 5 million dollar car.

You Americans sure love doing those oval races so I'm sure this patch is right up your alley.

I prefer road courses and rallies myself.

Good for you, but in GT5 those do not pay enough credits to be practical if you intend to buy a LeMans car or two.

Unfortunately, far to true. Why or why can't Circuit De La Sarthe have a one or two lap race that pays 100,000cr.? Geesh.

EDIT: Truth be told, I spent allot of my childhood in Germany. LOL

Lol .

I hate that track I can't do even 20 laps on the endurance race before quitting.
But I really don't car anymore as I stopped duping long ago when I got all the cars I knew I wanted , now I can enjoy my loot on the ring and do the seasonal events to get more cash to get any car that might appear on the UCD.

Why do you have to include that in your post? Where was it written that the game "should" be played that way? I never got the memo and I never read it anywhere... so please enlighten me.

Agreed. I rarely use my X2010, though Bob uses his just about every time. My favorite races are European Championship and Schwarzwald League B. The current seasonals also pay pretty well if you want to get some of your lesser cars out to play, though it doesn't take much of a car to win either of those two "Professional" series races.

I also agree with the OP. Though I'm not happy that this is their solution to cutting out duping because legitimate players still can't trade, I am happy that the duping of valuable cars will be discontinued. The 20m cars aren't meant for everyone to own all of them without much time and effort.

Most of us don't earn several multi-million credit cars each day. I save a few hundred thousand a day (more on my days off, most of the time) and buy things when I can afford them. Just because you bought the game doesn't mean you are entitled to everything within it. You can and should *gasp* EARN it.

American race track turns go the other way. Otherwise, the racers would hit the wall and only the wall. FYI. Silly Europeans.

That's his opionion. He's allowed to have it.

I'm wondering if this site hold some sort of record for threads going into dissaray. Only a few posts in and we're already bashing America. Shame.

I am pro 1.07 all the way!

Just go ahead and close this thread. People who "cheat" do not affect you or me in any way.

If this thread gets closed, then every single thread/vote/petition complaining about the 1.07 patch should also be closed for the very same reason.

I'm the same way, letting Bobby run the Dream Car Championship to net a cool mil while I watch TV or surf GTP on the laptop. Looking at the same walls in Indy for more than two races causes Vertigo.

Great update, hopefully now people will actually have to earn the top end cars rather than pester a few people online for them.

Specifically the X1. Do the challenges and feel a sense of achievement rather than begging and pleading strangers to send you one for free.

All this nonsense about "WHO ARE THEY TO TELL US HOW TO PLAY". Erm. The developers. Who just did tell you how to play. By imposing these brilliant limits.

Of course he's allowed to have it, but including the bit I bolded will only envoke flame wars and seems more like trolling than anything else.

I play the game the right way! Everyone else plays wrong...

Excuse me, but I paid 70+ euros for this game and if I want to dupe, copy, race, time trail or whatever then I should be allowed to do so, yet I dont go around saying that the game should be played this way or that way... Or claim that I play the RIGHT way... its not written anywhere so dont rub it in. There's enough tension in these forums as is.

Once the dust settles with this 1,000,000 Cr. trading cap I think people are going to enjoy trading again. There are so many great cars in this game; it was frustrating going into a trading room and 9/10 people are only looking for X2010s.

Hopefully now someone will want to trade for my Solstice :p

Look like youre happiness is short lived guys ;)

From Kaz's tweet stream:

The car features more than 100 million yen gift to resume temporarily. About three hours later as a guide. This is not good I did not notice in advance. Sorry. RT @ gt5nimonomousu: X2010 I just have one day I'd like to be sent to? I lent a friend a while ...

My question is: Why has this update caused such a split between GT users. Seems that all it has done is caused a rift between Dupers and Anti-Dupers. For that, PD has failed miserably. That reason, and that reason alone, I'm against the update. But hey, we got a gold chrome!?!

I disagree. We all paid for this game to play it the way PD intended. Clearly, they did not intend to allow people to dupe and dilute the rarity of their most difficult to achieve cars. PD left an opening, and people chose to exploit it, so they did what they had to do in order to restore some legitimacy to the game. If they wanted us to be able to copy cars, they would have a "Duplicate Car" option.

geeze this feeling of entitlement is making you sound north american. wow 70 Euros!!!

I'm from the USA, but I can't even argue with this lol. There are so many off-topic things I could rant about regarding the disgusting sense of entitlement in this country...too many people don't want to have to earn things, much like in this game.

LMAO. Ok so youre saying me paying for the game does not entitle me to play how I want to? Really? Get off your high horse.

I've never grinded, never duped, and I have the F10 and a host of other very expensive cars. That's what the seasonals are for. I'm 100% in favour of this update. Also it means less competition in the time trials from people who group-dupe all the hottest machinery.

I know. I was trying to point out that 90% of american races are turnleft-left-left-left repeatx100

Stop. It is annoying to keep reading this anti-American crap. Not every American likes NASCAR just like not everyone in Europe likes soccer (sorry - football to you), even though by watching TV or reading the news it might seem that way.

Because the last seasonals payed around 30,000 a race. Oh yeah, I'm so close to that 20 million dollar car.

It is a completely different type of racing. Europeans take part in Stock car races as well.

Silly europeans. Maybe next time you decide to grace us with another witless post you think about the bigger picture, aside from saving the queen...when to have tea today...and going to a dentist.

it entitles you to be PDs B1tch, play they game the way they designed it to be played - not using some loophole they missed to begin with. It does however, entitled you to bitch about it.
