it entitles you to be PDs B1tch, play they game the way they designed it to be played - not using some loophole they missed to begin with. It does however, entitled you to bitch about it.

Let's get back to discussing the OP...

Youre logic eludes me... Have a nice day brown nosing PD. ;)

Just FYI, even NASCAR has road courses. See Infineon Raceway

Although its stopped traders duping to get their 1m Cr plus cars which i was part of at times I think this patch is for the best and had to be done sometime soon ... A spec races were going out of fashion and most people just traded x2010s for anything ... had to be stopped in my opinion

If the trade limit IS temporary, it's sure going to help identify most of the crybabies here and online.

Got home from work today, popped in the game, read about the update, and this popped into my head:

Obi-Wan Kenobi
I felt a great disturbance in the Force... as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened. You'd better get on with your exercises.

Then I laughed. Please keep this update permanent.

Why do you have to include that in your post? Where was it written that the game "should" be played that way? I never got the memo and I never read it anywhere... so please enlighten me.

Your enlightened. The game was designed to do what? Simulate a driving experience and give the ability to tune your cars the way that feels best for your driving abilities. Not to abuse the games rights to allow you to share or trade cars. Thanks to everyone who did, now when I want to trade a high end car to buddy because he doesn't have one, I can't. Because an honest guy gets screwed with the people that screwed it up for them.

So you have inside information? Kaz himself told you that the game should be played this way? You do realize this is a game right? And not real life? So why get all worked up about how other people play the game?

Oh and you can share your cars now smarty pants. So you can lend your buddy the expensive car so he can use it. No one got screwed except people who dupe cars.

Because it makes the game better for you, how exactly?

Same way 1.06 made the game better for GT Academy contestants, and because watching other peoples misery over such trivial things is comedic. Had I known this was gonna happen, I gladly would have paid twice as much for the CE I got.

Actually, I think the trading limit is a good thing. No more "freebies", especially for the people that rip off other people by promising a trade and then bailing when they get the car they want.

And oh noes!! People will have to start earning their X1s now!

Yeah, but isn't only 2? Could be wrong, I haven't watched in a long time, but it's the same reason I never got behind the IRL and made the move from CART/Champcar to F1.

I'm not for duping. Nor the patch, or against. But not a fact as clear as you see it. What about the sending 1 car/5 paints per PS3 a day. I have 4 accounts on mine, all for different people who play GT5. What if they make a deal to send paints, and so do I? One of friends is going to screwed.

Another added bonus.

I wouldn't say screwed, but perhaps inconvenienced. We waited an eternity for this game, what's one day gonna hurt to get a car/paint from those accounts? Since you've got the accounts, surely those there would understand.

The way "the other" people play the game obviously affects me too. Hence the topic at discussion. Now I can't use features that I enjoyed using when I first picked the game up.

Another added bonus.

And another drawback. I just sent an FGT yesterday, (pre-update) to a gent who accidentally deleted his game save. I for one believed him, and felt good helping a fellow racer get back on their feet. What happens if you or I befall the same thing? The good acts of another are now limited.

No longer an issue with the "Borrow" feature. Plus, borrowed cars don't incur mileage or oil changes.

I imagine that's how some GT Academy contestants felt when they saw corner cutting. Obey the rules- possibly not qualify but you had a clean lap OR screw the rules- get the time.

But the borrow, while a good substitute, isn't 100% fix. Say that I need a car for a track with long straights, but you have set a tight turned one. Will the car translate, maybe. But maybe not. With simply borrowing a car, I can't adjust the settings. In some cases, that makes the feature useless.

The solution there is one of communication. Again, an inconvenience (waiting for response, or constant requests for tuning changes), but it should (in theory) enhance the community aspect of the game, by getting users to talk and learn more.

Face it, the few spoiled it for the many. Such is life. Could be worse.

Wow, that sign is getting allot of grief. Waiting for it to look like this:

The "Right" side of the road is the side you're on when you cross the finish line.

Move on.

My only complaint about this patch is it should have happened a long time ago. I say that because it is almost useless tying to stop people from duping cars after 3 months and over 6 million copies out the door. those who were serious about duping have already done so.

I completely agree with everything. Well debated. However, the problem lays with becoming comfortable with the inconvenience. The inconvenience that not everyone in the community seems to be as intelligent as we seem. All human wisdom is summed up in two words - wait and hope. But not everybody is wise. Not everyone is willing to put in work to help their fellow man. Such is life.
