Hey Im just looking for your ideas of how the prize car selection should be in GT4. I think that you should win only one car at the end of a race, championship, or an endurance. You also should be able to win that car over and over if you want to like in GT2. With this kind of system there will be no problem if you sell a car you won and then decide to get it back. In GT3 I sold my Mercedes CLK DTM race car and I had to start over on a new memory card and buy it into my main memory card. What do you think? 👍

I think it should be random for series and endurance races, but have prize cars be able to be won more than once in other races.

IMO, things should stay the same except for the single races where you should have the possibility to get the prize car more than once and also that we should have the choice of painting it the color we want once it's won.

And to avoid problems like selling a car and have to gain it back, I have an advice for you: personnally, I never sell any rare bonus car, so I have no problem. :)

See ya :sly:

I agree. That sounds like the best way to have it.

Painting the car is a good idea and it will save us time instead of saving it before the last race and reloading it to get the color we want.

Oh and I also think we should be able to change the rims on all cars. In GT3 we were not able to change the rims on the RX8 and the RSX.(I dont remember if there is more or not) The RX8 rims were ok but the RSX rims just are not my thing. It would have been nice with some OZ or Bridgestone rims.

Unless you work for PD, I don't care what you think, nor does anyone else.

"I wish" threads suck.

What I think would be a good idea is this.

You win a championship, you win a random car out of a selection of four or three or whatever. Now these four cars are available to buy from a dealership after you've won the event. Then it would save you the trouble of having to win the whole series again just for a certain car, or a certain colour car.

I think that you couldnt change the rims on those cars because they were concept cars at the time. Although I hacked some black 5 spoke mags onto the 350Z concept and it looked awesome.

Just count to ten 12345678910.

There?

Better?

No.

Good.

You've been a member here longer than me and it seems you've still not found out about the

It allows you to edit your previous post instead of unessicarily posting two rather meaningless contributions. So you get one slightly bigger meaningless contribution.

Lancer, you need to get off the weed

How about PD don't know you exist. Does that clear things up?

Cmon man I was just trying to be polite and not talk s*** but you guys just want to make me sorry for making this thread. If you do not care about a thread then just do not post in it. Other people care so just let them respond. Oh yeah and I did not make this thread for PD I made it for other GT Planet members to post their ideas. I wasnt expecting PD to read this.

So please if you do not care just do not post in this thread. :)

Ehh... I think there are too many free cars. Winning a car barely rates a mention because there are so damn many. If we want realism, then less cars. What you do win will be more special.

Make it so you can win the same car again for series races - not like in GT2 where you can just race a single event, win a $250,000 car, repeat 4 times and buy a GT-One. That's stupid. Winning cars again? Sure. Random cars? Ehh... pissed most people off, had to save-reload to get a certain car - pretty pointless.

Agreed; With so many cars in GT4 it'd be good to win a good number of them but make it few and far between somehow so that what we win we appreciate more, gives us more of a feeling of achievement.

While Speed Channel is currentely re-running Targa Newfoundland from last year, let me speak my mind on this.

LANCER-RUNNER, I've desied two threads that speak in detail about rewards and such. I think my two threads are "Rewards" and "Concerning Secret Cars..." respectively. You can look up both of them and kind of read about what we've been discussing. And I hate to say this, but I think this has been discussed before. I'll search the past threads for you, but in the meanwhile, this is not really a new topic. The respective threads are below:

"Rewards"
"Concerning Secret Cars..."

See you around.

Thanks alot JohnBM01. There are some nice ideas in those threads. I did search but I just did not find these threads. Thanks again. 👍

I think that you should unlock previously locked cars at dealerships and be able to purchase them. Personally the cars you win are often worth too much money and I hate the whole random selection thing. If PD wants to offer multiple cars for an event, when you win a race it should unlock one of four cars at a dealership. Next time you win it unlocks another, etc... Makes it easier because once you unlock the car you can just go and buy the damn thing.

If you win a series and then the prize car is purchasable in the dealer you would remove any point of runing that series ever again, even with 4 possible prize cars once you've unlocked them all theres no point in re-doing that series ever again. What they could do though is unlock it in the dealer but have only 1 in stock, and each time you win the series another 1 is added in stock.

I think it would be nice if a prize car was not offered in a series where you need it, i.e., Vitz offered as the Prize for the Vitz series...

Let the Prize car for one series be just the thing you need for the next series in sequence, at least at the Beginner/Amateur levels.

if anything at least allow us to choose the car you want at the end of a series race... ie the four cars come up (can still be blacked out) then you pick one of the four... at least that would get rid of the spinning frustration of random cars.

And i agree with noquarter... it was stupid to win a car you needed for that series... Vitz, Lotus Elise, Beetle, etc...

Believe it or not, I bought a Renault Clio Cup Car thinking that the series was going to be all race cars. But when I took it to the Clio Cup, I basically blew every out by not even adding any horsepower upgrades to the car. And you would think that a one-make series in the PROFESSIONAL leauge will have race cars! More on that sometime in the future.

However, this buying of certain cars to compete in championships is more of a hark back to my topic entitled "Race Invitations." I think as soon as you get a certain car, you get a mock E-mail letting you know that you have been invited to compete in a race with that car. If you want to search and reply for "Race Invitations," go right ahead and make a reply and update it. And remember, almost every relevant topic to GT4 or any future GTs is fair game.

Press on with discussion.
