Problem getting on GTP.

Im talking to someone on MSN, and they are experiancing problems getting on GTP, they have had this problem for 2 days now and GTP is not working for them. Wjhat could possibly be wrong?

I'm going to need a bit more information than that...what kind of error message are they getting, exactly?

Maybe they've been banned. I think that stops you from vewing gtp.

I had that error not long ago, neither firefox nr ie would show me gtplanet. So, i went on to gtplanet.org to see if there was anything wrong, and it had gone into administration . Then i check giles guthrie's forums, revving crazy forums, and dquan's world to see if anything had been posted up about it, and nothing. I then presumed it must be me, and gave up for the day. The next day i managed to get on fine. Then i sent Jordan a pm telling him that gtplanet.org was down

He hasnt been banned, i checked his profile, as far as i know, it just isnt coming up for him, he puts in the site address and nothing happens, in firefox it would be an error such as "the operation timed out while trying to connect to www.gtplanet.net"

I would tell you if he had been banned, but that's not the issue here. Is there any way that his ISP could have blocked access to our site? I'm going to assume he can't ping or traceroute gtplanet.net, either.

I had this problem since Thursday.
Thursday - GTP didn't work.
Friday - I could get on GTP 2 times then it stopped working.
Saturday - It didn't work at all.
Today - I dunno if it will continue working.
Oh and zoxxy had the same problem yesterday.

I have been having trouble as well. I cant get on with my computer, but If I use my parents computer, It works fine.

That's a good point actually - does he have a parentalcontrol on his pc the stops him from viewing games websites? This probably isn't the issue, but when i tried to get mcafee to block certain sites, it blocked gtplanet too. This probably isn't the case. If it's saying the operation timed out, surely he just has a slow responding pc or internet connection? When it says that for me, i just hit enter again and the page loads.

Time to get a better internet connection. When my isp starts getting boggy, I can only load about half the sites on the net... are you on dial-up or broadband?

yeah, it sure is time gonna update the DSL connection from 0.5 mb/s to 8.0 sooner or later...
