Did you not see the topic directly below this one? And if you can't win it in the Xsara then you need to quit playing GT3.....

Hey man, I owned that cup using a Civic VTI, fully modified, turbo, putting ou about 380BHP. I know what your thinking, MAD UNDERSTEER, but no, if you tune it right, its a real good car to drive. Good luck

I used a Fiat Coupe. In Fact, I found that race to be the easiest, the Spoon Civic crashed on alot of corners, and in the end it finished behind the Beetle.

Hmm.

The Xsara is SHOCKINGLY bad.... it has absolutely no torque at all.

I used a Integra type-R... sounds a bit nasty, but goes round quite quick. Of course, you could always use a Spoon Civic, then the CPU hasnt got the advantage. I bought one off a friend. But at least try the Integra.

Just be sure to put slightly harder tyres on the rear, so they dont go green when your fron tyres are nearly orange - that makes it understeer badly.

lo. Xsara IS the most powerful FF car ... in STOCK.

i used honda ITR and little bit of tuning
oh man, there is it : spoon civic!

I used a Celica TRD Sports M. Pretty easy series except for that race. I had to plan my one pit stop just right, or I would end up behind the competition in the end. On my second try I won it by about 5 or so seconds. If you can't win in the Xsara, well, I don't think there's much hope for you on that race.

If I remember well, I won it with the Accord Type-R. Make the rear suspension harder than the front, set the rear brakes stronger than the front one, and there you go.

Xsara! Even in unmodified form it should poo all over the AI in this race!

Seriously, its possible to win the race in a full tuned Mini with only 178HP.
Use T2 super-slick tyres, they should last the full 10-laps.
The AI seriously suck at Cote D'azur. (Try the Elise race for a prime example of this, a 5 Elise pile-up every time they pass through the bus-stop chicane after the tunnel!)
There's numerous places to make time on this track, a good line through the 1st turn is essential, don't touch the wall outside it or you'll lose time up the hill! The turn before the tunnel is also a key point, avoiding the wall on that turn will buy you a lot of time down the tunnel straight. A good line through the bus-stop will buy you 1/2s per lap if you get it right too.
Cote is a circuit that requires a setup like no other. Make sure you have max downforce (if you're cheating and using a car that has downforce!!) and run a few laps in free run arcade mode and fine tune your gears. Make sure if you're using the full racing transmission that you're getting into 6th gear before braking for the bus-stop. Again, a correct setup will buy you seconds per lap.
Try looking in the GT3 Tuning & Settings thread under "Best car for Pro FF" there's a ton of info that should help you out.
Look in the GTP Insider too, neon_duke wrote an excellent setting guide for FFs in one edition, it helped me out a lot.
The FFs are not to be feared, treat them well, & you'll be surprised how much you can conquer with them, I speak as someone who has won Rome Endurance race in a Mini!
Do you have a MAX drive or X-port? I can post some FF laps for you to use as ghosts if you like, that should help you to improve your FF skills. PM me if you'd like some more help. 👍

I agree ... Xsara just wipes the competition in FF Challenge with a decent driver. It's very light (960kg, if I remember right), is a Rally Car (which means it allready has some upgrades in suspension, and so on) and it is quite powerfull.

I think that you're just trying too hard to drive. Just be smooth and fast, learn the track and you'll be faster.
