Just tested Summer, Winter, and Spring. Unfortunately it's identical between them.

Thank you for the information. I don't understand why there is no greenery in Sonoma, Laguna Seca .... at a time of year like in real life. I mean, SMS has done a good job about seasons on the trees ( for example) but not on the sides of the track, it does not make sense. Can be an oversight? @IanBell

Maybe they did for Rocket Beans. It looks like that wasn't the case for the Mixer stream:

Just looking at the thumbnail continues to make me mad about that real Suzuka...why Slightlymad doesn't have it when Gran Turismo and even FORZA has the real deal??? (I just hope the real Suzuka comes for pCARS 3...)

The license costs for the track are apparently the most expensive of any track around, PD and T10 have the backing of Sony and MS to afford it, SMS don't.

That's a real shame - thanks for testing.

I'd love to know why too, as it would be such a natural and appropriate use of the new 'seasons' feature that SMS are promoting. It would not only be a better 'simulation' of how the tracks look during a particular season, but also add a much more immersive sense of actually racing there during this time.
I'm not entirely sure - are visual seasonal changes just limited to sun angle, the colour of the leaves on the trees, and snow (where appropriate)?

@IanBell, would adding appropriate greenery be as 'simple' (yeah, I know - nothing is simple) as an art pass on these tracks? If so, what are the chances of appropriate seasonal foliage coming as an update? I'd absolutely love to race at a lush green winter Laguna Seca. It's been the same barren dusty beige wasteland in just about every racing game it's ever been in, so 'seasons' gives SMS the perfect opportunity to shake this up and take the lead here.

So, 59 out of 60 locations have seasonal changes bar 1? What build was tested?

Scaff is correct. We'll 'showcase their track whilst paying them for the privilege' when the price is acceptable.

Or spend the money getting more tracks for the dlc... like rockingham, pocono, magny cours hint hint hint

Do you know why they charge so much more than others?

Track list is mega already anyway

Personally I think SMS should be applauded for the tracks they have in game. It puts the 'big two', particularly PDi, to shame. We will all have a track we wish was in the game but what they have got in there is pretty incredible.

I'll take the extra tracks + Sakitto for the same money. There's almost too many track to learn. Sakitto is a nice circuit anyway, though there is that weird bump before the esses that feels unnatural

Tbh I prefer Sakitto over the real Suzuka anyway but that's just my opinion.
Btw. that bump you mentioned should be smoothed out now IIRC.

I'm guessing no plans for a lush winter Laguna Seca then. Two devs dodged the question, lol.

I don't know how it's supposed to be Laguna seca inthe winter but I know that some tracks won't have all the seasons.

I mean, snow in Dubai? :D

Laguna Seca and Sonoma are in northern California. They should both be very green during winter and spring. They only go brown over the summer/early fall during the dry season.

I agree. It also seems to me that Ruapuna has more greenery at a time of year according to the videos I have seen.

Old build :)

Ps: I don't remember last time I drove sakitto so I don't know if it solved. I'll trust bealdor on this. It SHOULD...

Anyone else look at Sakitto like a "Suzuka Classic" in that the areas on the real track that are used to slow you down are absent in Sakitto? The start of the esses has a faster approach, the hairpin after the Degner curves, and the Casio chicane at the end of the lap. It's all been made faster. Like a classic version.

Yep. I like it.

I like it also the way it is , very fast in an lmp1 car .
The only track I'd love to see is Sebring , I'd pay treble the normal Dlc amount for that one track .

If Suzuka does get added one day I hope Sakitto doesn't get removed. The different esses section and the removal of the hairpin and chicane make it quite different from Suzuka.

Yup, favorite track right behind Long Beach

I never played Project Cars as much as I thought I would on the PS4, even though I purchased all of the DLC.
It landed at somewhere around 30 hours in total maybe. I tried online a few times but mostly
experimented offline with different tracks and cars. What really drew me to the game in the first place
was the weather features, the large grids (40+ cars on the track was great to see) and the many tracks.
I was disappointed however to find the lobbies were lacking a chat box where the participants could have texted each other.
It was just mic or nothing. Trying to race with a DS3 was one of the low points as well. It was just impossible with some cars.

I just pre-ordered Project Cars 2 tonight (digital deluxe edition) and am looking forward to it.
I really hope a chat will feature in the game this time and that there won't be too many bugs.
Maybe I'll see some of you on the track at some point. 👍
