This is probably one of the better racing games out currently, I don't see how it can be a joke. Granted I love Forza but I honestly think this game is more fun and the physics are really good. The cars handle like they should and so do the bikes.

The only downside to the game is you can not tune the cars, but that's only a minor downside.

I hope to god you're not going to use the retarded excuse that, "Teh physicz n0t aS g00d as F0rZA!"

No, in terms of arcade physics, it might be slightly better than Juiced 2 or DiRT. Graphically though PGR4 looks like hell. I mean... I thought FM2 half assed it but... lol

What the hell are you talking about? I'd say that PGR4 is leagues ahead of Forza 2 on MY HDTV, but maybe thats just me... Beyond that, I think PGR4 is more fun to play, and furthermore, with the greatly improved physics, you've got a much better sense of speed than you do in any other "recent" racing title...

True, but as far as physics and "fun", as an arcade game like Need For Speed I would agree, but I would not agree if one is judging it as a semi-sim racing game like Forza 2.

if you think this looks like hell then you are smoking crack.
I believe he was referring to actual gameplay graphics and not photomode... not that I agree with him.

Speaking of photmode, those are some really nicely done shots DRIFT GOD! +REP

I really like the angles you chose, they really complement the lines and features of both cars as well as the already beautiful water induced reflections. Really well done! 👍

I'm going to guess you haven't played it at all. That's a pretty ignorant comment if you think the game looks like hell.

Very true, I meant the physics are good for the kind of game it is. After looking at how I worded it I realise it didn't make a whole lot of sense. Although I do like how they incorporated the body roll into the game, but there is no way every car would drift like that in real life.

Hmm. I think tonight I'll attempt to challenge the Behemoth records. I've gotten pretty fast on it with the in-car view.

And I believe I've hit 1 of the fastest speeds the game will allow. 260Mph, in the obvious choice, but most people are hitting 250 with it.

I think I'm going to have to buy this tonight. It looks like a must have.

I finally have some free time today to just play games. We are planning on meeting up with Driftgod and a few other people later tonight for some online PGR4 fun. Any of you are more than welcome to join if you see us in a multiplayer game. I will probably play the single player for a while to unlock cars and gain some progress in the career. We also rented Flatout again so we need to play that some more too. Its just nice to finally get some free time.

Uh.... not sure what to say about that fourth pic with the spread eagle position on the bike.... soooo wrong! ;)

BTW: I think it's time there was a PGR4 Photo Thread 👍

Really enjoying this game! Fantastic stuff:D

Pictures came out kinda small...TV size issue maybe?

Nah...It's very normal if you hang around bikes long enough!
Oh I have been around bikes probably before you were born and have owned more bikes than cars, so I know "certain types of people" who think they are cool do that.... but it is sooooo not cool.... and in the real bike community we have a name for those boys... but it wouldn't pass the GTP inappropriate words filter. :D

I just got my hands on a copy. Not too bad at the moment - more of the same from the PGR series.

Racing in the snow and rain is a little disappointing - you only use a little grip in the rain and then a little more in the snow - nothing at all drastic. Plus, in the Carear Mode, setting the difficulty on Normal is a little too easy and Hardcore is a little too hard, so there is no middle ground. Plus, the AI do some of THE most stupid moves ever. Once on a straight one TOTALLY wiped me off the road after a long straight before a corner. I know the AI is supposed to be agressive, but this was ridiculous!

Nevertheless, it still plays great and looks even better. 👍

Um...you don't have that many years on me. Eight if I recall right from the "age" thread. There are ligit stunters and squids, which that man in the picture is Dan Jackson, a VERY ligit competition stunter.

This is very squid like, no helmet, no gear and best of all...SANDELS

I wasn't referring to his ability or his safety gear... but the choice of the "trick" position. :)

Although entertaining, I'd also submit most serious bikers do not take trick riders very seriously... regardless of their popularity among the non-legitimate racing X-gen fans. :)

I have a feeling there is a very thin line between "stunter" and stupid, somehow. xD
Agreed!

AHHH...I understand what your saying.

I'll just bite my lip and not hi-jack the thread, sorry for already heading in that direction.

My first shot...

Maybe a photomode thread is needed?

So how can I unlock the Nurburgring? And how can I buy cars, because I already have cars in my garage...

You have to buy the tracks... I want to say the pack is 100K cr?
