On a personal note. Between me and my wife we have a Ford, a Honda and a Mazda. Just for personal brand loyalty I can at least race the Acura feeling tied to the brand with my Accord Euro. My little joys in my gaming life. :)

I usually take the Acura because I seem to have some sort of irrational attachment to Honda motorcycles, and the car brands we own don't have LMDh's. So at least there's HRC!

I’m betting Ferrari will come in a DLC pack, like I believe PC2 did.

No McLarens is the more surprising one, though imo.
You would say that...

Or there's Cough 787b cough :D

Personally, I've got a Jag, so I am sorted... plus I've seen and heard the XJR-9 at Goodwood Festival of Speed and at a meet at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon ;)

For me I am excited to use the Panoz. I liked how Dan Panoz created his race team and took on the big boys. I have fond memories of watching the ALMS with my now deceased brother so the Panoz holds a special place in my heart

Yes, as a fellow Jag owner (Ford as well for me in GT3/4), we're well sorted for the Group C, but for the more modern LMDh class, what are you driving?

A brand where the first word comes from the name of a hillclimb event and the second word is that of its creator.

You make it sound as though you sat on the couch with your dead brother. I know that it isn't what you mean but it does sound a little strange.

Morning all,Has this game implemented the Fanatec sdk for Xbox so we can use all buttons and encoders on our wheels and get telemetry on the screens,I’m unable to find this info anywhere, thanks in advance if anyone knows this

It's a wonderful LMH / LMDH offering and I cannot wait to get stuck into some multi-class racing.

I see 4 errors in the car names in the Instagram posting.
I think they covered this on the Discord a few times when the whole "LMHs in the LMDh category" discussion comes up. The class name and the car names are not errors. it's what has been agreed with the manufacturers and IMSA.

So, looking at the Class discovered so far, which I think are the final ones (just new cars will be spoilered), what is the list, ordered by increaseing power, of the Classes?

Understanging that the question is somehow not objective, what would be the same list orderd by driving difficulty?

As in what would the classes be in order of difficulty? Or speed?

Unsure, I imagine it would be, from slowest to fastest:

MX5 Cup
911 964 Cup
GT4
911 992 Cup
N-GT
Sports Car 70
GT3
GT
GTO
GT1
LMP
Group C
LMDh

Maybe. Difficulty is tricky to quantify without trying them. Probably quite similarly ordered but won't really know until we can drive the cars.

Yeah, looks less and less likely that McLaren and Ferrari are going to make it. Oh well.....

I think we knew Ferrari weren't coming when the 70s class was announced without the 512, the only Ferrari we know for sure was in development for the game.

McLaren is an outside shot now for sure. I expect Alpine GT4, M4 GT4, MC12, 03 Viper GTSR and who knows for the 5th, a GT class Porsche maybe?

Unless the F1 GTR gets licensed as a BMW which has happened with other games in the past including Gran Turismo. Long shot but not impossible.

Yes, sure, this is a good starting point. Since I don't know some of the classes, I was wondering if in same cases fastest with assists* may be easier than slower without assists*

*meaning the assists present in the real car (and I guess reproduced in the in game car) , not the in game assist usable no matter the car

👍. Yeah I would imagine the Group C will be fast but difficult to drive at the limit whereas the LMDh with the modern tech might be slightly easier.

There will be a setting in the assist menu called 'Authentic' which will give you the correct assists and assist levels for each car. Or no assists on many cases.

The question is whether the scheduled official races will be in authentic mode or if you'll be able to use the assists you need. With a controller, for example, even using the triggers to brake or accelerate, it's relatively easy to lock the wheels in cars without ABS, and even in vehicles with ABS in PC2, I seem to recall you could sometimes lock them up as well.

The settings for abs & tc were adjustable from both the tuning screen & icm during gameplay which allowed you to adjust both if you felt either wasn't giving you the desired affect.

So if you were still locking the brakes while using abs then you should've increased the strength, same for tc in the rain if you find yourself facing backwards to many times.

Dropping the brake pressure down to 80% is helpful for not locking brakes without abs.

It's all adjustable.

I should think the scheduled official races will allow assists. Would lose a lot of online players otherwise. I'm sure custom lobbies will be able to set it as they please. That's how other games work so this shouldn't be any different.

It's the Toyota GT-ONE!!!

My all-time favourite race car 😊❤️

I feel like mclarens chances have increased after today’s teaser. If the toyota gt-one was the last car for the gt1 class then they probably would’ve just revealed the whole class.
Plus there is precedent for leaving a car as a surprise for the full class confirmation. Nobody saw the Alpine coming yesterday
I feel like we will get the Nissan R390 GT1.

Sounds incredibly detailed.

True2Track also runs primarily on the GPU for higher performance and serves as a single authoritative source of “truth” for other subsystems such as physics, AI, and rendering.
That will be interesting on the consoles, especially the Series S.
