Grid is fine for what it is but personally I would be disappointed if PMR would turn out to be that way. Laser-scanned Tracks and a decent force feedback are already a significant difference...
I guess I should have been clearer. Grid was very arcade-y, which made it good for controller and hopefully PMR looks to be a bit different. That part, I welcome change. The career structure and car list look a lot like Grid, in that there are no street cars at the moment. The whole "start your own team and raise through the ranks to the top" career is something I always really enjoy in games. I feel like PMR will HOPEFULLY be the sim version of the original Grid that I had hoped the 2019 remake would have been.

Really hope it’s good on controller. Also just released when we can play it and I dunno why they picked Perth Timezone for Australia and not Sydney lol anyway Melbourne is a few hours ahead of Perth so yeah that lol. Anyway hope it’s good
I hope so to (PS5) until I get my PC up and running. If there are usual settings deadzones, sensitivity etc I can usually dial in pretty good handling after lots of trials. Happy to share any on here, see how it plays out the box.👍 Project cars 3 was the best handling on controller I believe it was helped at the time by the EA/Codies/Evolution old team if I recall.

If the F1 GTR is there I may abandon my objections and actually buy the game.

Not gonna lie, I was wavering, they almost had me.

Free of the F1 FOMO, I'll just grab it when all or most of the DLC is out. Having surprising amounts of fun with Nascar at the moment, and there is the GT7 Spec 3 & POWER PACK! to keep me entertained.

Hope the game works well at launch, esepecially on the consoles as the preorder/wishlist charts suggest it is going to do far better on those than Steam, and you all have lots of fun.

That Panoz looks so tasty! The R390 will get some miles as well.

3 cars to reveal and 3 classes to unveil. GT, NGT and GT3.

My predictions now we have a better understanding of licensing for this game:

Maserati MC12 - GT
Chrysler Viper GTSR - GT
Nissan 350Z - NGT
I have a feeling that the NGT addition will be the Panoz Esperante GTLM. I also have a sneaking suspicion that the Corvette C6.R is the other GT class addition. The MC12 might be in a similar situation to the Ferraris.

C6.R has already been spotted. MC12 is definitely a possibility, they come under Stellantis and there's a few from them in the list already.

Focusing this on a historic period would be a great idea, set it apart from the crowd, and just frankly be a really unique experience that's often been teased but never fully realised.

I just don't think Ian's listening to us
Well this aged poorly.
It's mostly historic racing cars.

What will be your first car driven and on what circuit?

My first pairing is the Toyota GR010 HYBRID LMH at Sebring as I've never tried the circuit before and I'm a Toyota fanboy. After that a run with GT1.
I'm a sucker for recreating championships (mainly IMSA and WEC), so I would probably go with the Mustang GT3 at Daytona.

Actually, it aged fine because it was made when the game was still recalled GTR Revival & was looking to be a successor to GTR/2 where historic cars were not present.
When I heard GT Revival, I assumed it was going to be GT Legends 2. Which would have been incredible.

GT Legends will likely be the home of the Maserati MC12 GT1 if it's not base content.

No it won’t - this is the description of the GT Legends pack

“GT classics from the early ’70s meet icons of the ’67 sportscar championship, and mid-’60s GT titans. Add one iconic US circuit, stir, and serve yourself a pack of legendary racing adrenaline. No aids, just thrills.”

Oh forget what I said then 😆

Maybe they can't currently get Maseratti, or we could have had them in GT4 class too? Although there's Lotus in GT1 but not GT4, it's hard to keep up.

Would hope for the players' sake they just haven't got the deals done yet but will in future?

I'm going to doubt it's inclusion simply because Ferrari isn't there, given how much Ferrari is under the skin & development was done under Ferrari's influence. I would wager they have more of hand in licensing it than just Stellantis.

I’ll give it to PMR, they sure are a sarcastic bunch. Might not be the best approach but whatever haha

True. A complex one for sure.

As is McLaren it seems, in a moment of openness about the licensing, we at least have a reason why we don't have them:
