More race footage - variety of cars and camera angles



TL;DR - as with the other vids - looks good, sounds good, handles well even on the PS5 controller, AI all over the place (to put it mildly, in some parts it looks absolutely awful).

If you're just going to hotlap or do multiplayer I think it looks great. If you're planning on doing the career hold off until the day 1 patch and see if that fixes the AI.

MX-5s at Daytona



In this one they look fine, a bit slow in the corners perhaps. There was another vid with them at Bathurst where they were so slow off the line, you could pass half the field before turn 1. A real mixed bag.

Definitely a mixed bag with AI across those 2 videos, still a lot of tweaking to come I am sure. The Gamer Muscle vid looked decent AI wise, he did only have it on 75 so perhaps the corners is where they get nuked a bit on lower difficulties, purely speculation of course.

Not too worried yet personally as there is a lot of time for them to tweak, the build for the expo would probably be at least 2 weeks old if not more due to sign offs and getting a stable build etc so there's at least 6+ weeks of tweaking since this build right up to launch.

First video though, nice to see some chase cam footage, audio is good from the chase cam which is nice to hear as things like AC, ACC, Raceroom and AMS are pretty rubbish from that cam which is my preferred usually, so that's nice to hear, visually again very solid.

The HUD is customizable. It looks like you can add & move elements where you want (on PC at least, not sure how it works using a pad).

It was also possible on PC2. What bothers me is that in all the gameplays I'm seeing, none of them show the virtual mirror. In GT7, inexplicably, there's no virtual mirror in the hood view either.

It's a bit cropped but you can see the virtual mirror in the top right corner. As they switch between the views it remains in place. This isn't GT7.

Double-checked and the HUD elements can be moved about with a gamepad and on console.

I have a feeling that wouldn't go over well with many as it could be seen as the devs "double dipping" into your pockets for DLC content that could've shipped with the game, esp. for a major brand like Ferrari. What models are we getting right away for it would matter as well.

The 2nd part is something I don't see Ferrari going along with. The cars the devs want to include (say 296 GT3, 550 GT1, 360 NGT, 512 M, F40 LM, 333SP) are going to be agreed to for a set licensing fee. But, for that agreement to include that the licensing fee to have those 6 cars then additionally includes the entire Ferrari catalogue as long as it's made by the community's hand seems wildly unlikely, esp. for the way Ferrari operates their image.

This is the brand that did allow SMS to include Fiorano, but made sure the track was only accessible to Ferraris.

Some news about 499P? Could be very sad of the Queen of le mans isn't in the game

The 499p isn’t a car i was expecting to see in the game so i wouldn’t be too upset if it wasn’t there. I’d be more disappointed if the 550 gt1 and 296 gt3 were missing.

But to be honest I’m more than happy with the cars we have seen

With Toyota and Peugeot the 499P has increase the percentage of presence, 550 GTs and 296 are very likely. It was a Little bit disappoint if these three cars aren't in the game

None yet, though like Dapper, I'm not expecting it. Out of all the race cars of that class, the 499P seems to be the rarest as far as video game goes; only Le Mans Ultimate (as part of their WEC deal) & iRacing have showcased it.

And the website seems to suggest only 1 more car to be revealed for that class. Which would be the Peugeot we've already spotted as it's the only one not listed.

Could potentially end hope for the BMW M hybrid too.

i think both the M Hybrid V8 and 9X8 (Evo) would be the final 2. it would make sense to be fair

I said suggests, not that it's fact. In recent weeks it has indicated 1+ cars to be announced in various classes, now it says, car to be announced, not cars.

Like I said, I'd like to be proven wrong, I'm just not giving myself false hope is all.

Reassuring gameplay in good part at least.
On 1st video, at around 7:40mins, he loses it he says on the slabs of sebring, which he doesn't know the track name lol., so it's not just the look that fakes bumpy reaction but affects enough the physics and handling, which is great for me.

At around 10:50, when bumping pretty hard on the ai backend, it doesn't react much or enough it seems, maybe that's stability aids adjustable.

In 2nd video, ai seems pretty decent, if not spectacular, so that's reassuring.

And yh, no mirror it seems even in that cockpit pov, driver says he doesn't know where ai car is after passing even, idk.
The pov was pretty limited, restricted though, maybe it was hidden. Or turned off for lack of optimization.

Seemed smooth too.

The carbon splitters scraping is cool the tyre rubbing isn’t cool. Reminds me of TOCA 1. Shouldn’t be sounding like that in this game.
GT7 PSVR2 VR Replay have the sound exactly like being at the track. It’s like a muffled whirr if those that have been at a real race track understand what sound I mean.

I know it’s a totally different AI, but maybe PD are right in making sure SOPHY learn tracks properly before unleashing SOPHY on all tracks.

Second video. Cant wait for 32 cars on track again. MX-5 are tight from start to finish. So, I wouldn’t expect big gaps unless there’s been a crash. As noted, might be an aggression setting for cars behind not trying to pass. Those liveries, man.

I think you're right. I had forgot about the Peugeot and I was trying to figure out what the other car was
