I’d love to be proven wrong but i think the Ferrari ship has sailed
I'm starting to think that is a very real possibility, and it may influence my purchase. Is it because I'm such a huge "Tifosi", that I can't enjoy a game without Ferrari in it? No. It's just that Ferrari is a big player in a lot of classes in the game, and when all the other big players are accounted for, it's that much easier to notice the absentees. Nothing is more annoying than a puzzle with just one piece missing.

We don't know what/if any manufacturers are missing. The Jag was teased last week and this isn't the first Nissan shown.

Still leaves us 12 cars iirc to be reveal.
In the pmr site, car menu, there is a manufacturer order (which i didn't notice but yesterday). At the very bottom there is this

Is it Ferrari....is it....is it......??? 🤪

Actually, forget it. It's blatantly BMW as it's not officially confirmed yet 🫩

It's not just Ferrari missing right now, Mclaren is another heavyweight name that hasn't made an appearance at all, as far as I know. Be it on PMR or Pre-PMR marketing.

EDIT:

Speaking of Ferrari, and bad signs, there's this, from the description of the "Sports Car 70" class:
Sports car endurance racing in the 1970s was a golden era of raw power, iconic design, and legendary rivalries that battled for supremacy at global 24 hour events. These machines featured massive V12, flat-12 and V8 engines, lightweight bodies, and groundbreaking aerodynamics. The decade was marked by fierce competition, record-breaking speeds, and the rise of privateer teams, cementing it as the defining chapter in motorsport history.
Lola has the V8, the Porsche has the flat-12, who has V12? Planned but missing in the end?

What's a little concerning is the fact that it states "Manufacturer coming" Singular rather than plural which seems to exclude both Ferrari and McLaren. Two true heavyweights of motorsport. Unless, maybe they can add the F1 GTR Longtail as it's officially designed under BMW, rather than McLaren.

I tend to think that they would have showcased Ferrari and McLaren by now if they were going to be present. Doesn't make any sense from a sales point of view IMO to keep your best card hidden until the very last second.

Yeah. I had that feeling that we are going to miss both Ferrari and Mclaren for this title. This actually makes me less excited about PMR and will wait for LMU instead.

No PSVR2 support not complete roster of cars, and probably some technical problems day one. Will definately wait for this game to develop

There's no Honda either. I figure there are more than one manufacturer to be revealed as it reads "Manufacturer" for all manufacturers in the drop down menu.

GTE Decade Pack still has a car yet to be announced.

If it's not the 488, it would have to be Riley's Viper or some older model (M6, Vantage, 911)

Besides the possible absences of Ferrari and McLaren, there are two cars that given that the game was born as GTRevival I will miss a lot if they don't appear: the Viper GTS-R and the MC12 GT1.

I have a feeling the viper will be revealed this weekend to mark ten days to go

Not having Ferrari and McLaren will definitely take the edge off my enthusiasm for PMR. Still looking forward to it, just not with as much excitement. If there are 12 cars yet to be revealed, let's have a look at the realistic possibilities. We know BMW is in so we have V8 Hybrid, V12 LMR possibly, M4 GT3 and M4 GT4. That takes us to 8. Can't believe they won't add the Chrysler Viper GTS-R to the N-GT class. Seven to go...I guess it still leaves the possibility of Ferrari or McLaren or both. Not sure what other models could be added to the classes....

I’m pretty confident McLaren will be there. Ferrari not so much

They released an article explaining the online mode. It seems it will have daily races in the style of Gran Turismo, and then another ranked mode.

Yep I very much like how this sounds. Some tidbits from the article:

Scheduled Racing, Real Competition

Unlike instant-join multiplayer, PMR follows the flow of real motorsport scheduling: Here’s how it’ll all work.

  • Browse upcoming Ranked and Social events.
Pro tip: How seriously you want to take your online racing in PMR is up to you, but generally:

  • Social races are more casual and accessible.
  • Ranked races are organized, competitive, and where you will be ranked both as an overall racer and per-class (13 at launch).

Social Races

  • ~15-minute sprint races.
  • Frequent start times (every ~15 minutes).
  • Beginner friendly, great for warm-ups & testing gear.
Ranked Races

  • 20–60-minute events.
  • For drivers treating sim racing like real competition.
  • Expect clean, skilled opponents—from sim pros to real racing talent.
  • Your race results will be automatically scored for your monthly championships.
  • Your best two results from each week will “count” and a championship winner will be decided when the month is over.

Based on the class you choose, races can range anywhere from 20 minutes for trophy cars and spec series, to 60 minutes for high-end endurance machinery. This generally simulates the world of sports car racing, and their true-to-life event lengths.

Unique to Project Motor Racing will be multiple championships for each car class.

There will, for e.g., be multiple GT3 championships available, one featuring only European circuits, and another featuring only North American circuits.

These are not region locked: It’s the way PMR wants to simulate the multiple GT3 championships and multiple Porsche Cup championships on the real-world racing schedule.

Unlock Higher Tiers

We have the functionality to gate events by a minimum driver rating, as well as a minimum win count.

At launch, winning a race in any split of a Ranked Online Championship unlocks the ability to participate in Group C and LMDh races—your reward for finally capturing that first checkered flag.

This also ensures the most difficult and demanding cars in the sim are driven by those ready for the unique challenges they present.

Penalties & Fair Play

Anti-griefing note: Extreme behaviour will result in an instant DQ. We do not suggest driving backwards or cutting large areas of the circuit as you will be immediately disqualified from your session.

Time penalties will also be issued for:

  • False starts
  • Pit speeding
  • Track cuts/off-track gains
Minor mistakes are forgiven; intentional shortcuts aren’t.

Report System

A protest tool is in place for Ranked Racing. This tool should be used for:

  • Intentional wrecking, cheating, malicious play.
And should not be used for:

  • Normal racing incidents — keep it sporting!
Our protest system is designed to issue suspensions for major instances of unsportsmanlike or malicious conduct. Players who encounter gamesmanship, griefing, hacking, and wholly destructive play are encouraged to document and report the offending user at the first available opportunity.

Details on how to submit a report will be released Nov 25 on our FAQ.

Based on my GT7 online win rate I might never unlock those.

So no time penalties for contact, just the report system?

Unsure, under the penalties section is says "Time penalties will also be issued for:". This implies these are in addition to something which may well be unsportsmanlike contact or something? I can't see that they would have a fairly comprehensive system and not penalise deliberate contact during racing.

Not sure if they don't mention hiding behing "keep it sporting", or if it's missing at all.
I hope it's not the latest

What does "keep it sporting" actually mean? Is it touring car rules where pretty much anything is legal? Nascar "rubbing is racing"?

I hope it is just an oversight on the announcement and they do have a proper live penalty system, or things could get messy.
