Both of these sound good. The Factory Driver mode reminds me of the Moments in EA WRC. Fun. Lots of them.

And the big seller... no FOMO or disappearing content! Wonder what they're referring to there... "cough FM23 cough"

Just need to be sure that controller play will be good on this. Show me that SMS and you'll get my preorder!

The latest gameplay video they released shows them playing with a controller.
 
Watched the latest gameplay video and thought it looked superb. AI has made massive progress, looks a good challenge for sure and the way the cars bob and bounce on Sebring is incredibly cool.

Audio is super impressive as well, not just cockpit from the previous videos but it's really nice to hear that the chase came has a lot of life and depth to the sounds. Something that AC AMS ACC are woeful at and pCars was always on the wrong side of meh.

The fact it was done on a controller should be pretty reassuring to those intending to play that way, it looked smooth, controllable, he been held a big old slide as well which was clearly left in to show that you could.
 
That last video is fantastic. I’m sure there will be people looking for things to criticise with it but let’s face it, it’s coming along superbly and the news about all the online time trials fills me with joy. And it just so happens that my shift pattern has me with 6 days off the day it releases 😃 very optimistic about this more each day
 
I love the brake and shift timing in ACC for controller. It’s something that helps with the sense of immersion. Seems like it’s well done in PMR.
 
I think I'm going to pre-order PMR. After the Forza Motorsport debacle I am looking for something new on my Xbox Series X. And from what it looks like, PMR has a solid single player career with actual progression.

Most of all, I am looking forward to starting out with MX5 Cup, and then to move through GT4, Carrera Cup, and GT3 towards LMDH :)

I didn't really think about this ahead of time. The progression thing applies only if you're wanting to do the career thing right? You can still do free races where you can get in any car at any time and race any track?

Correct. As we understand it, all the content is available from the get go so you can choose any car/track combo to race with.

Career mode obviously has the progression element but you can choose to start as a rich team with big sponsors and start in HyperCars if you want.

I think the only time something needs to be unlocked per se is in the ranked online, need to win a race to gain access to the Group C and Hypercar Ranked races.

Has there been any gameplay videos from console?
A bit worried about graphics and fps.

The only gameplay I have seen on a PS5 the grandstands went from empty to full as as part of a very obvious and distracting pop in. Was a while ago though so it could be very much improved by now similar to how the PC gameplay has much improved since.

Welcome to the club. They already have my 100 dollars and I'm very excited.

Career mode on PC2 spoiled me for every other console racer. This one seems to be even deeper.
 
Yeah I don't mind the content amount, at first 18 tracks was a worrying number but it's a good selection of tracks, there's a few variations within them as well. Add in the seasons, time of day, weather etc and I'm happy.

Car wise I'd rather have this curated, focussed collection than a hodgepodge of underwhelming classes.

This is looking good. I just wish it shipped with LeMans. Quick question did PC2 have LeMans at launch? I ask because I bought after it was out for 2 years to be a place holder until GT7 came out so all of the DLC had been released

Yes le man was in the base game in PC2 I remember cause it was the first track I took my p1 gtr to.:lol:

Classic Le man was the one added via DLC.

Don't know about you, but for me, it's been torture since I pre ordered. I haven't refreshed a thread this many times per day, in years. I'll take any info/conversation/videos I can get, to hold me over.
