what’s currently sitting there on my HDD is a what, eight year old game that in some ways remains the best thing you out there on console.

Couldn't have said it better myself. For a serious racer who only wants to play on console, even 8 years later, nothing comes close. Now you've got me thinking I want to play Project Cars 2 again

I've only seen the video of 'The Hun' were she starts the career on PS5 and that is the prerelase build if I understood correctly. Looks really solid compared to the pc version and makes you think it consoles were priority. Looks almost like 2 different versions of the game. I honesty really look forward to this game. Will definitely not rush anything and maybe share some initial thoughts as a casual.

I recently discovered her and I really like her. She could have me fooled, but I get the impression she's not in anybody's pocket.

Oh man. I was ready to preorder because I actually like what I saw on youtube. But I thought to check youtube one more time before preordering to get that GTE pack. That is when I saw SuperGT's video. Now I am back on the fence again. :(

The GTE pack is going to be sold separately later.

Honest to gosh save your money and wait a few months before making a decision. It's not going anywhere in the meantime.

I respect you and am a little jealous at the same time.

I wish I had the discipline to have cancelled my pre-order but I just couldn't do it. I figured they're getting my money sooner or later, so I'll just ride out the rough spots until it's all sorted out.

This team gave me PC2 so I made up my mind when the game was first announced that Id support them no matter what.

Of course, the last minute revelation of the 16 car grid tested my resolve, MIGHTILY

I may possibly regret my decision but I'm counting the minutes till I can fire it up
I've been going back and forth, a reason for not getting it was the lack of content on launch compared to PC 2 & FM and a reason for getting it, was like you, to support them in the hope it could be like PC 2 one day..

The Xbox launch trailer sealed my fate.

Just realised there's no 'tracks' or 'layouts' as they term things in the DLC menu?

Just Vehicles (rather than cars?), Packages (GTE pack etc), Liveries, and Career Events

Well, i had the Logitech RS 50 ordered for this game and SPEC 3 update; but GT7 alone is not worth all this money anymore, so there's that... Had no choice.
Managed to cancel my RS 50 order from local shop as well, which is great.

Patiently waiting next few months...

Edit: Spent last few days looking for every issue i could find about the game... So i'm nitpicking and even biased for sure, but i'm really hoping it to succeed.
Unlimited Mod content on PS5 would be awesome.

I mean that's a good plan, I wouldn't pin my hopes on the game, we've seen enough since the embargo lifted to get an idea that the game is indeed unfinished.

I'm still excited to play it, the year 1 content is what I'm mainly looking forward to, specifically the V8 Power Pack, but there's enough elsewhere that I know I'll enjoy myself till that comes out, if GT4 stays in rotation in ranked racing, I can see myself spending most of my time in there. Plus I'm really keen to get a hold of the game files to see what is possible in terms of modding, I have a few ideas on stuff that I want to do immediately, so excited to see what exactly can be done.

It sure is!
SuperGT says that the cars are super difficult to manage on the limit, to the point he is affraid to push.....and then we have Gamermuscle saying that this game lets you do mental laps over the limit, and even said its one of the most forgiving sims ever when it comes to really pushing the cars....
Their feelings just couldnt be more different 😅
I think the consensus ive been seeing is that the older cars (GT1, 2000s LMPs etc) feel decent to drive and the modern cars (GT3s, Hypercars) feel like a complete afterthought that was just thrown into the game.

This game flew under my radar - it looks like another SMS game, very good, kinda janky? I feel like with so many racing game options out, it doesn't make much sense to purchase this.

I'm holding off since the GT7 updates are coming next week. If I bought PMR, I'd probably put it down after a week of playing to fiddle with GT7.

I really want to experience the game. So it's good members here will get more hands on and see how things (hopefully)improve from today.
