I think this game is in trash can, should give refund...So much for modding in this game. Nothing new (on console) since launch week?
Then they should consider letting people demo it if that’s the case. If YouTubers killed it before it got a chance, a demo version would let people try it out without throwing money at it.It's sad, but the game is not over yet !
Youtubers killed the game before launch and again tell it's dead, how that is helping ? Appart making clickbait video and earning them money ?
Thoses telling it's crap, the worst game ever etc, have you only try it ? Or are you making assumptions over some youtubers reviews ?
I'm feeling really sorry for the team and the people that loose their job just before Christmas
The game is not what they sold yes, but it has really good bases and the game is fun, much more deep than GT7 or FM, with great immersion
If you had the opportunity to try it, you will see, don't expect tracing pr LMU, it's a middle ground
This not the disaster YouTube says, it could and it will be great, it lack polish, but it bring something different, unique that need to be saved
I can't understand why this game is so much put in flame while TDU SC get thought, I can't...
Exactly my issue with PMR (and with Rennsport). I have Project CARS 2 which is collecting digital dust with just 6 hours played because even after endless tweaking, I am unhappy with how it plays on controller. So, without a demo, I don't have any confidence in PMR's controller playability despite reading "it is better than Project CARS 2 on controller".Then they should consider letting people demo it if that’s the case.
Yeah it’s kind of all word of mouth, for positive and negative reviews. The problem I have with it, is I know it’s taken a hit on graphics, so was expecting the physics and handling to be phenomenal yet a lot of complaints aren’t about the physics and handling and ffb so it doesn’t give me confidence to play a worse looking game that has physics handling ffb issues that need to be sorted. But again maybe it’s not that bad. I ain’t taking a chance.Exactly my issue with PMR (and with Rennsport). Unfortunately, people giving up because of their skill level just kills the opportunity for splits/ratings to work properly, ensuring that slower drivers aren't put into their own splits with similar skill levels, and then when splits/ratings don't work it in turn makes even more people quit. It also ensures the people who are giving up will never get better, so it's all kind of a vicious circle.I really hate to say it, but I think a lot of people have been chased off of online racing. Either it's basically impossible for most of us to be remotely competitive so you quit, or you have some run-ins with trolls so you quit. Or your internet isn't quite up to snuff, causing all kinds of headaches, and you quit. This is supposed to be a fun pastime and distraction from the drudgery of our lives, and getting your head beat in by 5 seconds a lap, griefers who just won't leave you alone, and/or lagging and constant dropouts just isn't. So if you're sociable enough maybe you do open driving online, and if you're not, you go single player.
Big this. If they were confident in their product then a demo or trial or "free play weekend" thing would be the best way to prove people wrong... or at the very least, let people see themselves that the title has a promising foundation or whatever. Then they should consider letting people demo it if that’s the case. If YouTubers killed it before it got a chance, a demo version would let people try it out without throwing money at it.
Even in your post, I’m reading it thinking oh maybe it’s not that bad after all and then you confirm it’s not what they were selling us on. Which makes me doubt it again or question if I should even bother.
Put it into the hands of players and let them bypass those YouTubers. But from what I’ve watched and heard and seen, a lot of their concerns aren’t all that exaggerated. But I would still like to see for myself. Not dropping $90 to be a Guinea pig though.
Indeed, I hope not. It's sad, but the game is not over yet !
No, they didn't. Did it help PMR? Nope, but the majority simply talked about real issues with the title.Youtubers killed the game before launch and again tell it's dead, how that is helping ? Appart making clickbait video and earning them money ?
This is much more of the issue that caused it to tank (for a multitude of reasons - some of which we can only speculate on).The game is not what they sold yes,
Which is not what it was sold as, and it's not the first time an Ian Bell title has ended up like this. which is a much bigger factor than YouTube talking about the titles' issues.but it has really good bases and the game is fun, much more deep than GT7 or FM, with great immersion

This week is all we know.Do we know when it's coming out?
Yes, in your car setup you can map the number of fuel.Ok question. Is there any way of adding fuel to the cars before the start of races? I'm sick of starting with 50L in GT3s and having to pit about 25 mins in to a 30 min race...
The update sounds good. I hope there will be continuous improvement now. It always seemed to be a passion project from a team of automobile enthusiasts, I would think they were devastated with the problems at launch.
I haven't commented on the situation since it was released because not yet having the game I felt I wasn't in a position to give judgement on it.
My credit card has just clicked over onto a new month, I shall go and buy PMR later. I'm optimistic, it's the best way to be.
I'll be back!

Those of us in leagues see that happen quite a bit. Guys in 10th place get discouraged and leave, so the guy in 9th place feels like he just lost the guy he normally battles with, so he gives up, and pretty soon a league has 5 fast guys battling for the podium, then it's a second a lap back to 6th, 2 seconds back to 7th, and so on.
Again, it’s an OK game with the DLC’s which for me is $135 CAD. That doesn’t sound enticing, spend 135 CAD to find out. I know I’d want the season pass cause it has the Group 5’s in it, otherwise I’d consider it a $90 game. Modding seems like it’s non existent so far for consoles. The replay quality is poor. AI crash into you. People complaining about the FFB and I still don’t know if Trueforce is officially supported (they’ve said it will be so who knows when) and SimHub on console as far as I know isn’t going to work.Nah. It's genuinely not a bad game, even for pad players like me, just takes a lot more acclimatising to than a good simcade like GT7, which is pretty much the only kind of thing I'm familiar with tbh.
The car list is outrageously good. If only PD would take note. And the DLCs are still to come, the GT500s are the ones I want most. The track list is interesting. The driving is generally OK on pad IF I have a couple of hours to familiarise myself with a given car.
Biggest drawback is accidents caused by AI. Just know it's gonna happen at least once per race, meaning I know I have to Q a couple of secs faster than P2 (by means of setting AI to 90 or 95%) to 'cover' the upsets, else no chance of being near front at end.
I'd still recommend it, for someone like me (SP-focused), but cannot of course speak for the online lovers. It could and should be better, easier to set up cars etc, but it's still good, no question in my mind. If they make it a bit more playable on pad I'll be more than satisfied. If they don't, then I'll continue to consider it an OK game (unless they renege or underdeliver on the DLCs).
Yeah, I agree it's worthwhile for many people to be guarded like you, if they're not confident the game has what they want. As I said, for a SP guy like me with zero interest in replays etc, it's a decent game.Again, it’s an OK game with the DLC’s which for me is $135 CAD. They should release a demo so people can get their feet wet and decide for themselves. Unless they’re just counting on that FOMO panic buys. I’m on the other fence that IF I could just download it and try it for an hour I could decide if it’s something I’d be interested in. As it sits $135CAD is a hard no.
I Disagree, people telling it's a disaster while it's obviously not the case, it's wrong.Indeed, I hope not.

Who exactly did that?I Disagree, people telling it's a disaster while it's obviously not the case, it's wrong.
Source please, as the PMR website still claims the following.I remember some com before release telling it was going to be a middle ground between iracing and GT/FM, the focus was on immersion
That alone is not what people were talking about. So far it's what we get, and I'm not disappointed, this not arcady and no hardcore sim either
And that had what to do with my post?FYI Ian Bell titles are still played today and make reference again still today (GTR, PCARS), and despite a lot of post saying he is not supporting his game, I disagree with that statement
This isn't the case, PMR was always, and has always been pitched as a hardcore sim, iRacing, AC/ACC have always been the prime targets for the driving physics.I Disagree, people telling it's a disaster while it's obviously not the case, it's wrong.

So the patch isn't out yet? I think I'll hold my purchase until it is then. Might as well experience the game in its most up-to-date form. This week is all we know.
