Is it possible that steering wheel animation is broken ? Either it's broken or I'm clueless.

I've tinkered with a bunch of settings and that steering wheel will not move. My first inclination is to think I'm missing something

I'm on PS5 pro

I found that after the update I had to recalibrate the wheel and it fixed the steering animation

Or may it has to do also with using the controller during a wheel session.
It happened to me, i also read something about it maybe in pmr discord

Why I can't join online on ps5, it is there common problem or only me? It says connecting at the screen where you can choose a lobby rules, ranked, custom.

Just properly had another dive into the game, on pad with just a few minor adjustments from default settings, single-player, doing race weekends set up to mimic the Power Pack races in GT7 (up to 1 hr practice, 10 min Q, 10 lap races), and it's bloody excellent now, more engrossing/addictive than the GT7 PP races (though there are five or six fave PP races I do really enjoy, so not putting the PP down, rather making the point that PMR is coming good).

But what a tragedy it launched how it did. Genuinely believe had it launched in its current state half the people on the GT7 forums would've bought it by now, and instead we still have people there knocking it and congratulating themselves on not buying it. After all, people don't need much convincing to not part with 50 dollars/quid...

What this should teach devs is that launching without proper testing is a suicide mission; test it properly, even if it costs, it's worth the expense.

Anyway, here's hoping the first DLC comes ASAP and acts as a relaunch of the game with its Japan track and GT500s. It's a good enough game now that it doesn't deserve to languish in the shadows.

*Disclaimer: I am SP focused, on PS5, so cannot comment on any of the online stuff (yet, cos I do plan to attempt a few of the trophies at some point) or issues with XBox or PC, just commenting on the state of the game as it affects my play style.

...and now, having said all that, I await the next update that'll probably reset everything backwards and get me moaning again...

Damn, it has a racing class I always dreamed about, but thought it was too obscure to appear of interest, but here it is, 996 and M3 GTR and the other old gt3 and gt1 models. It is the amazingly impossible dream has came true. 996 feels great, can't wait for the online races in N-GT category.

Wonder if they will add more... Hockenheim lack just heartbreaking, but so many American Tracks, especially Virginia, long time waited in sim racing. Gotta get a spin with pink Roxy. Since there is no Manthey, I guess pink dino will be my vehicle of choice.

I'm kinda jealous of the console players, from what I've been reading it seems the experience is enjoyable there. in pc, in the other hand...
I haven't had a single problem on PC.

We have VIR in AMS2, rF2, AC, iRacing and Forza Motorsport. Where's this long time waiting at? 😄

It's not bad on pc now. Definitely better after the patches. It doesn't crash which I guess is the biggest thing. There doesn't seem to be as much flickering as there used to be.

I'll say this. I've only driven one GT3 car since the 1.5.0.4 update but I think PMR might have the best GT3 handling of any game that I have right now. Better than AC, AMS2, and probably ACC. I drove the Mustang at Bathurst and shattered my best time there out of any game.

do you have LMU? that game was the one that made me have an interest for GT3 cars

Thank you for the fix🎉 Much appreciated

Now, does anyone have any idea why I can't map my R2 paddle (the one on the upper right of my DD Pro wheel)?

I was able to map it for a quick look back when the game first released but now I can't use it for anything. When I depress it nothing happens at all, not even an error message

Is crew chief no longer an app for Android? I wanted to use it with this game but I could not find it

It's a know issue since the last update, fix is coming

Question regarding online play…

(I’m a PS5 player and should have put more effort in the original online license tests. I believe it assigned me a 69, Tier 3. I’m in Canada)

When I go look at the lobbies, either ranked or Social, they seem very quiet. I might see a dozen racers across 2 or 3 lobbies.

Is this normal?

I can't connect at all on Playstation 5, please help. Get stuck on connecting and that's it. Crossplay on and off. Everything else works fine.

All I gotta say is I'm glad I didn't preorder, and I don't think I'll be looking into the game for a while (if at all)
Personally I still don’t see myself enjoying this game but I guess it’s good that the state of the game has improved in the last few weeks

Perhaps s4s needed to release it a few weeks later but I don’t know how much that would have improved the quality of the released product, since a lot of the improvements came after the backlash it got

Guys, I'm struggling with the braking action.
Depending on the car, particularly the non abs, the same pedal pressure generates very different results.

How do you deal with it? Just train and get used to each of them?

Are you moving your brake balance further forward? I've found that settings that may seem a bit extreme in say AMS2, are just what you need in PMR. Try something outrageous like 70/30 and go from there.
I think they need to work on what the brake balance numbers are compared to how the brake pressure is being applied to the fronts and rears.

Wow, I was actually feeling safer to move a bit back. 60/40 is my start from here.

Is the answer somehow skill dependent?

Skill always comes into play. Controller or wheel? Because that brake pedal helps out a lot in having a longer range of travel to work with.
Two things happen when moving the brake bias forward. You create stability and understeer with the potential for more front wheel lockups. Moving towards the rear creates instability in braking zones, oversteer, but less chance of lockups (unless you start locking up the rears). This is how it works in real life at least. I've found moving the brake bias forward gets rid of that wild instability in braking zones in PMR.

Wheel,
The reason i asked is because i soffer front lock sometimes pressing 60%.
Moving to the back is helping.

I'm wondering if my bad habit of micro moving the wheel under braking is triggering it more then what seem to happen to you

I'm not sure what car you're using but non-abs cars, like you said, are obviously way more sensitive to bias and brake pressure. Not knowing what car you're using doesn't help but these are just guidelines. If you move the bias back, and that helps, then that's exactly what you needed to do.

Thanks!

I'm practicing with the bmw gtn

Had my first couple of hours on PMR today. I must say on first impressions, it does feel quite close to ACC is for me is no bad thing.
I did a comparison between the two games by running the Merc GT3 at Monza and in some instances, PMR had the slight edge graphically.

I moved the HUD icons around to match the two which is a nice feature ( I know you could do that in PCars2 )
I also quite like that you can change the angles of the mirrors.

Main gripe atm is that calibration of the wheel doesn't seem to be doing much as far as the wheel DOR is concerned. My Moza R3 is on 900 in the pithouse but I can't get it to be 1:1 between wheel and cockpit animation, although the cars drive ok.

There's no rotation setting as far as I can see in game unless I'm missing something.

Other than that I'm quite impressed with the game so far. I know on Xbox you can only have 15 AI cars but tbh, once the field opens up you don't see that many cars anyway.

If you put your wheel base on 900 & adjust the steering rack rate in game I believe is what you may be looking for. Adjust steering rack rate up for less turn lower if you want a greater turning of your wheel. I bought the game on release & got a refund after 2 days, but bought again last week & am quite enjoying the GT3 cars some other classes still need work as the whole game does but it is way better after the few updates they did. Hopefully there’s a lot more updates to come
