Went out and did 5 laps to test it out.
It just feels like it is too easy, like honestly you just throw it into turns and put down the power, it's got a weird feeling of the rear is like on rails most of the time and you're just floating over the track, like such a disconnect to the road.
Sebring also feels off compared to iRacing or LMU.

With regards to the prototypes, I would give a STRONG language warning and invite anyone wondering about the developers perspective to listen to this from about 36:30 onwards to about 41 minutes in. Probably not the answers you're wanting.

Is that a polite/subtle way of saying skill issue?

Not really, just that it's really tough to walk that line between playable in a game and completely accurate. We also have zero feel beyond our toy wheels and maybe some bass shakers. Maybe a motion rig if you're really fancy, but it's never going to be quite the same and some devs will make more concessions than others. Can you imagine the screaming if EA made the F1 games as punishing as the real thing?

When LMU first came out there were similar complaints, if I recall.

It is a tough line to walk, unfortunately PMRs LMDH class (and select others) walks neither of those lines. Neither playable nor accurate.

The biggest issue for developers in making things as realistic as possible, punishing etc, is that it doesn't appeal to the mass market and therefore they suffer in sales. There's enough demand to support people who want that for things like iRacing to be successful (and even then it's hard to say if it's realistic without equal or punishing for the sake of it). But that's a whole different issue to what PMR has going on.

Booting up and a quick race. Adjusting the Dead Zone for controller. Gotta say it was much more enjoyable than when I tried to play yesterday. I’m trying out the V8 Supercar(still feels a little floaty and understeery at Lime Rock, though I am still fiddling with the steering dead zone) and will do a night race.
When I did a time transition at Silverstone yesterday, it was horrible. I quit the game. Hopefully it’s improved.

Edit: Not liking the V8 Supercar at the moment. Trying to get rid of the dirty nose and then the swaying of the front with the steering inputs. I’ll work on it at some point.

I did like driving the 964. Gotta work out the trail raking, but I had fun.

On Steam they confirmed those cars:

• 2022 Nissan Calsonic Impul Z GT500

• 2022 Honda NSX GT500

• 2024 Honda Civic GT500

• 2021 Nissan Motul Autech GT-R GT500

• 2022 Toyota GR Supra GT500

• 2003 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) JGTC

• 2003 Honda NSX JGTC

• 2002 Toyota Supra JGTC

• 2004 Nissan Fairlady Z (Z33) JGTC

plus Takamiya Circuit, which is of course, Okayama/T1 Aida.

Like damn, that's a big list for their first dlc pack.

I need to play this when that DLC releases.

Biggest biggest problem for me is the on track car count for console. I mean, good thing for now is GT500 in the real 2026 series, only have 14 cars. GT300 have 29 cars. If at some point we can combine the classes, we’d be missing a quarter of the GT300 field.

Anyway, pretty cool to be driving up to date cars.

Must admit I'm pretty impressed with the update, the cars I've tried so far feel really good to drive and the UI overhaul is very welcome.
I know it's a small thing but the addition of explanations of what every game or car setting actually does is a great addition ( now I know what the camera options are far lol )
There's a few niggles, ie if you want to adjust the cockpit view settings, the semi opaque overlay actually gets in Tuesday of sat you're doing with the mirrors but that's not a game breaker obviously.
Again, not a deal breaker and easy to navigate around but the season options in single player, why are they geared up for the southern hemisphere, if you set December it defaults to winter ?

Anyway, here's a clip of multiplayer at Spa, nice and smooth gameplay with no lags ( although not sure why we have car ghosting when someone goes off )

We can view the cars before DLC is unlocked.

I'm using a ps5 slim; and the frame rate and stability is quite poor. Every corner reveals a sort of stutter as the new scenery comes around the bend. I'm sure one needs a pro or pc for maximum effect but it's for me at least not very nice to drive atm😔

Physics and graphics acceptable now on PS5?
I'm on the very basic ps5 so wasn't expecting ultimate performance but atm frames are very bad. It makes it hard to judge the physics entirely but they have changed.

I only had time tonight to run three classes, 992 Cup, GTE, and GT. For me all of the cars seem to slide more especially through medium and high speed turns. But on the other hand they feel more stable on low speed corners.

Navigating through the new menus is a bit awkward. It seemed difficult to change classes. I think you have to go back out to where you choose single player etc. Maybe that's the way it worked before but I can't remember.

I do find it odd that the only way you can get to a settings screen is to start a race weekend. I think there should be some sort of settings option from the main screen.

I remember that it also looked pretty bad on consoles. Did that become any better?

Oh hey, it's half off! The Pass isn't though.
It's more than half off on Loaded (previously CD Keys), with the standard versions much cheaper too. Especially the Giants based one. Well for the UK anyway, not sure on other regions. Of course, unfortunately for console users, PC only.

Does PMR have AI/Bots added to private lobbys to fill out the rest of the grid with friends playing online or is it feature that is planned to be added soon?
No dont have AI on private lobbys. This implemantation could be game changer for me. The AI in this game is very good, not perfect, but enjoyable.
