My Top 3 are:
From Japan: Tetsuya Hibino
When he last drove over here Tetsuya Hibino drove his own street S14 in the D1 Exhibition Match and his backwards entries were insane. He wasn't using modified steering knuckles and he pulled off bearly every single one! But then I suppose you have to be seriously talented to do what he manages to do in a Corolla.
From UK/Ireland: James Deane (and not just because he's a mate LOL)
He's a SAVAGE driver, he was Irish Pro-Drift champion at 19 and won his first event while still only 18 and driving a near stock S14. Soooooo fast in whatever he's driving, just a very natural driver who's father was very big in Irish rallying. He's also done a few rounds of Formula D this year with Team Falken in their S15. He qualified for top 32 at every round of FD that he did (three i think) in a car he'd practically never driven (a BIG achievement in FD).
From Poland: Pawel Trela
Do searches on youtube for him, the guy is so smooth it looks like he's not even trying and yet he/his car can hold the most ridiculous angles you've ever seen as well as also being incredibly fast like Deane
I could go on forever about guys from across europe who will make you redefine what you think is possible with a car.
Here's a few other top drivers in Europe to note:
Jakub Skomorucha (Poland), drives a seriously nice AE86 with a Mitsubishi Evo engine (350bhp), consistant on an epic scale. Second in Polish Pro series this year.
Maciek Bochenek (Poland), drives an R33 GTS-T (480bhp), won the Polish series this year, massively fast. Won Polish Pro series this year.
Dan Chapman (UK), drives an S13 with SR20 (450bhp), very fast ex-karter and Formula Ford racer in his youth. Second in JDM AllStars in 2009 and 2010.
Ben Broke-Smith (UK), R32 with 1JZ (550bhp), crazy angles and has a tendancy for mega entries. Won EDC in 2008.
Remmo Niezen (NL), E30 with M5 V8 (500bhp), not particularly quick, but crazy consistant and as smooth as Trela. Won JDM Allstars 2009.
Paul Vlasblom (NL), E36 Touring with 3.0 M3 straight six(380bhp), another very fast drifter, but known for brake checking during battles, he LOVES playing games. Multiple Dutch champion.
And not amazing yet, but someone definately worth keeping an eye on is Duane McKeever from Northern Ireland, he's only 14 (might be 15 by now) but has competed in JDM Allstars since the middle of 2009 (when he was only 13). He needs a little more experience at battles, but he actually qualified 1st at our Wembley event in July! He drives an 800bhp S13 with RB26 engine and you'd never know he hadn't been doing it for decades.
Hope that's the sort of thing you meant, I'll go into a few of the cool cars that I know of tomorrow, but it's friday night and I need some sleep LOL
