Prologue Cup: Race 1

Ok this is the time I set on Monday, with all the Football on I haven't played much.

DS2 Dual Analog MT no assists

T1 0'24.773
T2 0'45.670
T3 1'10.496

My warmup lap was terrible though i'm braking far too late on the first corner, mind you that's the same with the actual lap.
 
I have enquired about the difference in speed between the PAL version and the NTSC versions, and it seems some cars are geared differently as well as some different settings, but all in all, everything is very similar and there isn't one version quicker than the other. It is an alternating issue.

And just to make things clear ( just in case anyone is wondering ), I didn't use the shortcut through last hairpin to gain speed on the straight for the flying lap. Will try to get more laps in, but I dont think I can go much quicker than what I currently have. Also, I'm using DS2, MT, TCS ( which I think I'm gonna turn off to see if I can gain abit more time )
 
I'm so close to breaking under 1:10 on the final sector but just can't put the perfect (for me) lap together. I know the speed is there though because I can usually put in a near perfect lap on the warmup (exc. straight + first corner) with a time 2-1/2 -3 secs off of my best hot lap.
 
New sector times:

T1: 24.1
T2: 44.7
T3: 1'09.3

Taking off TCS seemed to have helped abit. I reached my target time, although I think a perfect lap could have a 1'08.xxx T3 :scared:
 
found some more time, all of 15 minutes and manged to drop .7 overall

24.510 / 45.964 / 1'11.118

I think I have another .8 in the lap if I can hit the first turn and the exit out of the final chicane perfectly. I MAY get another 15 mins tomorrow night....fingers are crossed.
 
T13R, damn thats fast. I wouldn't be able to get anywhere near that. :(

Hey, T13R, thanks for clearing the differences up. There´s nothing to worry about which version you have.

I haven´t ran this after my 1´10.3. I think there is .4 secs for me on the track. I noticed I brake too early. Gotta get back on Fuji soon.

hmm, 1,o9.3... i guess if i get that hairpin the way i want, i might just be able to get there. it seems that you can go even faster than i thought

I dunno. That T3 time (1:09.3xx) seems a bit too fast for me. I'd have to see a replay to believe it sorry.
 
no, that´s def possible mustang. after i found out how to go fast with this car i even did a 1,o9.1 but then i managed to leave the track going onto the straight - you can imagine how happy that made me........

btw, how should we submit replays cause i have no xport??
maybe i can borrow my friends video cam though..
 
Does that 1:09.3xx require two wheels off the track at some corners?

And a good way to verify replays is to send your memory card to someone you trust so that they can verify it. I sent my card over to Australia to get some of my racing-line.org times verified. Back came the card along with a GT3 save full of hybrids (i.e. 200,000 hp Tickford Falcon XR8 Race Car) and a few replays. :cool:
 
1:09's all over the place! I can see we have some serious racers here.

I'm going to have to take a break from it, I should be writing event handling procedures for an applet but all I've done this week is think about where to break on the hairpins and whats the best line round the A - corner :crazy:

I hope that after the deadline, someone post's a replay of a 1:09 T3, not coz I don't believe u, its just that I want to be able to do it myself :)

Welcome Delaney, and physcedelic and anyone else who thinks that T3 1:11 is a fast time. ( It IS fast)
I've been trying to get a T2 45 and now they are posting T2 44 :sick:
 
As for me, I don´t even hit the curbs i.e. i have all wheels on track at all times...
...sending my MC to Australia? If I fit in the pack with it I might just do that :)

Don't worry guys, you won't have any problems with me when it comes to providing a replay. I have been in the BC3 and the latest two TORC events which absolutely require a replay device. I will post the replay on Monday when results go up.

To Mustang: I have all four wheels on track everywhere, except for the right corner at the right/left section before the T3, where I have the maximum allowable of two wheels off.

Are we required to provide a replay of our time, because I wont be able to do that. The best I could do it a shot from a digital camera.
 
From what RSCosworth posted in his first post, it doesn't seem like a replay is necessary. But if someone gets a time that is very fast, it would be best to try and give proof that the run is in fact within the rules.

After doing a few more runs, I can see a 1'08.9 T3 being possible... but only in a perfect world?

found another 20mins to do some laps which give me a grand total of 35 mins I had to spend on this race. That is about 1/10th what I normally do for races in GT3/4p. For me to be competitive I need to spend alot of time in the car. Not 35mins....

Great car, great circuit!

I made a break through at last!
I've disabled the driving aids and can get an extra 10kph round the A - Corner. 👍

I've now seen my first T2 45.X and T3 1:10.X :)

Its not great but at least I'll be able to submit a respectable time.

stirlf a picture of lap time should be fine, unless you are submitting a 1:16s or something crazy!
 
i just did a nice 1,11.8 in my warm up lap, too bad my hotlap really sucked thereafter....
congrats´ tacet, now for the 1,09´s !!

Hmm, you lost your 1'09.1 by going off at an unexpected place, but I just lost my 1'09.100 ( exact ) by pressing X one too many times! I checked the replay, then I pressed START to quit replay, and then I wanted to review it but I forgot to press RIGHT, so once I pressed X it started a new race, and I lost it :(

I should remember to save first, then review... it was a wonderful lap :ouch: :(

Nevermind the above post, I have since done a 1'09.144 which turned out to be only .025 slower than the 1'09.100. What I find scary now is that I am sure a 1'08.7xx T3 can be had :crazy:

Sectors:
T1: 24.2 ( seen 24.0 )
T2: 44.7 ( seen 44.6 on a 24.2 T1 )
T3: 1'09.144

I'm done with this race, got a final exam coming up on tuesday, so I will concentrate on what matters :)

What are your other sectors? Maybe I can try to help you figure out where you might not be taking the optimum racing line?
