Hi!

It´s time for the second race of the series:

The Car: Lancia Delta HF Intergrale Rally Car

The Track: Grand Canyon Rally track

The Rules:

No wall riding or collisions with wall.
No cheating.

Race Method:

Arcade Mode - Single Race. No AI. Drive on an empty track, send me your best single lap time in the end of the week via PM.

The Deadline:

Monday the 28th June. 12 PM (noon) GMT. Send me your fastest time via PM before the deadline.

You can discuss T-times only in this thread. Don´t discuss lap times.

Oh no. Knowing my luck i'll be going for a swim in the Colorado (?) River. :(
 
I'll do some runs later in the week. Gotta get exams out of the way, but looking forward to this.
 
book me for last place on this one :). i´m gonna be glad if i can manage one lap without walltouches by the end of the week! again, RSC´ has picked one of my fave´ cars - keep that up...

Oops. Ok rules are editted. Shortcutting is allowed cause you can´t do that.. And because this is a rally there is no rules on how many tires you have to have on the track.

Nice combo once again RSCosworth. Rally wasn't a strong point of mine in GT3 so I don't think it will be any better in GT4:P. Will have to see as the week progresses.
 
Oh dear...the Grand Canyon...heck I'm going to need to practice loads.

The HF is a great car (on tarmac!)

I want to recover some of my pride so I'll be working on this one :)

I don't get any idea, but my best clean time so far is 1'13.3 / 1'43.6 :guilty:

I hope improve along the week
 
I have got one clean lap too, but it was so bad that I didn´t save the replay :D
This is gonna be a long week..

Can't remember the exact time. What sucks is, I've had a few really good clean laps and then tapped a barrier comming out of a corner and have had to start all over again. :P

We can select pro mode with AI in track? (5 laps). How is not AI in Grand Canyon the track is empty either.......
 
day 3, still got only one lap. i had a T1 1,09.2 but then i got too excited and clipped the next "wall" :(
i might submit my time 2nite because i´ll probably go to the TT Assen to see Valentino Rossi do his show!!

yikes....monster combo but fun non-the-less. I hope to run this one competitively. I should have a touch more time this week.

The Lancia's brakes, even on dirt ar amazing!!

Edit: Go on Toler submit an early time, give us a chance!

Rossi rules, I remember when he came from 250cc and Biaggi was saying no-one can jump onto a 500cc bike and expect to win races straight away...Just the Championship then Max..
 
Still haven't gotten any laps in. My final exam is over with, so I can get back to it :) Hope to have some splits for you guys by tonight. :cool:
 
Ok, I almost memorized the track layout... its so friggin long!

T1: 1'08.7
T2: 1'37.5

Ive seen mid 1'07.5s and low 1'36s, but never on a clean lap. I'm sure they are possible, but it would require extreme control. Very tough. :banghead:

BTW, the top time at the GT.DE Database should have a T2 of about 1'34.xxx!!! Very crazy :crazy:
 
yeah, those times at gt.de are totally crazy. i´d like to see a replay of those laps cos i really don´t know how they did those :sick:
 
Whey hey! I've got a clean 1:37 in the bag and saved.
When I saw the time split I kind of panicked and slowed down, so I wouldn't throw the lap away!

Watching the replay, I look so slow! There is bags of room to improve. On two of the hairpins I practically park the car and get out to stretch my legs :D

I can believe the db.de times, there are a couple of places where if you go in too hard you lose masses of time. Theres a big drift (I think about 5th right) and you can pick up over a second just on that stretch.

T13R that 1:36 is there for the taking, have seen it too!

i´m slowly getting there, 1,38 with a bunch of harsh mistakes.
i´m glad i didn´t go to assen the weather there looks horrible as opposed to the beautifully sunny grand canyon...
 
I had a few more laps last night, after taking a little break. Got a 1'35.666 which I immediately threw away because I hit at the left corner ( must of been the "666" effect :lol: ) but the lap right after was a low 1'35.5 and its all clean. The top times at GT.DE are getting closer :) A high 1'34 should be good enough to match it. T1 was a 1'07.4 on that fast lap.
 
Finally had a chance to run some laps. MT, no TCS and no assists.
T1 - 1:07.594
T2 - 1:36.140
There is room for improvement, but I don't know about 1:34s. :eek:

:lol: Hahaha, I've been called a robot! That's funny because I've raced against some people in GT3 that I considered robots! Nice compliment nonetheless :) I will try to fulfill your request hehe. Family coming from Italy this weekend should help the situation :p
 
T2: 1.37.1

Been into the 36's but not on a clean lap yet. Feels great when you bring the car home on a flying lap without any mistakes. I want to get closer to the top this race. Just got to get my last exam out of the way tommorow and I'll be able to sit down and spend some time with the game.
 
T2: 1.27.1 ???

that must be a typo, if it´s not i´m gonna kill myself :crazy:
 
This is the first time I enter any of your competitions so I don't really know if this is the right way to do it but I'll try anyway.

After trying quite hard to reach my best time and I reached the 37, don't know yet if I can improve it but it's my best time for now, the parcials are:

T1 1.07.980
T2 1.37.422


I kinda screwed things in the last few turns by slowing too much but I'll try to drive better and at leats be of some competition, but the 1.27 :scared: I'll never be able to pull that one out.

Since we can't drive with AI at the canyon any way you slice it, can we set it to pro and have 5 uninterrupted laps?
