gt5 fanOn my 160GB ps3 I cannot play my ps2 DISC on it so if I download the same ps2 game on the psn store wil I still be able to play it or not?
No the only PS3s that can are certain original fat PS3.... But i have worked on a lot of my friends PS3s and what i have done it took their broken 80GB PS3s apart and underneath the blueray player there is a microchip and i take that chip and attach it to their new SLIM model PS3's blueray player.. But no at the moment i own a 160GB fat PS3 (2nd generation fat) which has a limited backwards compatibility (playssome ps1 games) i have put a 500GB hard drive in it when i get that chip i am going to do the same thing to mine..
SlashfanHe said if he downloads it he wants to know if that will work, he already knows the disc won't.

gt5 fanHave you tried downloading ps2 games?
Have you tried downloading ps2 games?
SlashfanYeah they work fine.
ORPHANTHIRTY7Yes i thought you meant something else... Yes you will be able to play them as long as they are from the store.. Yeah go ahead... Sorry for the confusion
What I thought! Now I can play the game on my ps3 (what I wanted it for) and cheat by copying saved data from the web into the internal memory card.
CoxisAs far as I know you won't get away with that. PSN versions of PS2 games use different kind of saves, so your old (or downloaded) PS2 memory card saves won't work.
