ps3 and gt4 question...

no one seems to know th answer to this question so i hope someone here knows.

i want to buy gt4 to play on the ps3. since the game suppports 1080i on the ps2 will it also support 1080i on the ps3 via hdmi? i want to know before making the purchase...i don't want to waist money renting it either.

i can't dL the new gt demo and i need my gt fix. thx.
 
Some people may have not told you this, but the only problem the game has, when running on the PS3 is, that the title screen may freeze.

Yes. Though it won't look as good as it would on the PS2 (more jaggies and such).

And GT4 only freezes if you let it go past the title screen into the videos, etc. It plays fine for me.

The Official PlayStation magazine didn't say that, but thanks for telling us that.

The first thing, or the second thing?

If it was the second thing, I just got it from Sony's BC database checker thingy. Here's the official response:

When the title is left inactive on the Main menu, the title hangs on a black screen at a random time.

...And that's for the regular GT4. The Greatest Hits GT4 is bug-free.

The Official PlayStation Magazine did not say if you let the GT4 title screen get into the videos, that, it would freeze.
