Since the PS3 has a hard drive, does that mean that we will be able to listen to are own music while playing GTHD and other games?

I reckon Sony will have some software out to stream movies and music for Windows XP and Vista?

Probably not, and it would make sense, since Windows and Vista suck all together.

Why stream any content when you can store it directly on a fast SATA drive? It makes no sense, but MS thinks it's a neat idea since it puts more money in their pocket to promote such an idea.

I sure hope not.

I was planning on getting a Vista with a BD-R and 1 terabyte of storage, but not anymore.

If I need a PC in the future, it'll be a Mac.

Mac and Sony = Partners and Friends

MS and Sony = Competitors and Rivals

Mac = Computers that don't know what Ctrl Alt Del means.

PC = Bluescreen of Death shows up more than your desktop.

Blue screen of death has shown up zero times in the last 4 years on my PC running Win XP pro.

Lucky bastard. I've had three this week. Plus, about twice as many Ctrl Alt Dlts.

i had inumerous ocasions in which i needed to turn off the CPU by pressing the power button, because of crashes:grumpy:

Vista is a clone of OSX for the most part.

Take the features of OSX, add in a bunch of unneccesary visual effects, and viola, you've got Vista.

Why the hell would you need vista or xp anyway, it will more than likly have LINUX pre installed and it also has its own OS anyway so why bother with a cr*p OS?

Personally im glad they have gone LINUX, its secure and fast, and with the correct things installed it looks better than VISTA.

If it didnt come with an OS instaled, but would allow us ti install any we wanted I would go with either LINUX or OSX no Windows here.

Theres no reason at all for Sony to have such a feature. XP media edition is a joke IMO to begin with. Lets take a $500 pc connect it to my $600 console just to stream random videos to my TV. Um just hook a pc up to a TV and sound system. Whats the point of streaming other than having a back door for hacks?

Was it confirmed about using USB Memory sticks as memory cards as well as songs and pictures etc? I remember it being touted as a feature... but we all know how they shoot their mouths of at teh start only to find it can only do 5 poly's per second @4 bit color in the end. lol
