Ok so when I click start my game is just saying Autosaving please wait. I can't save it myself or click main menu. Anyone else having this problem or just me? Was fine before the update.
 
Noticed that myself, a thread on NeoGaf is growing quickly with most other people experiencing this problem, lots of them are losing recent states of save progress, from one hour of recent play to several hours, not a good sign :(

Apparently this occured before the 1.01 update too, so it's not to do with that. Play with caution and check the pause menu frequently to see if the Autosaving has become stuck, probably not worth playing on without resetting the console as it likely won't be saving your progress (and manual save is blocked out when this bug happens).

I lost 4 hours of game play this morning because I had to just quit the game.

Not happy.
 
Turns out my mail man was a bit late today. Time to get started on what I'm sure will be an amazing game.
 
I don't know what's worse. Walking around thinking there might be something in the next room. Or on a second play through of it walking around knowing there is something in the next room.

Anyway, I'm at 42% on my save. I played 2 scenes and it's done the autosave thing AGAIN!

Looks like I'm not playing this until a patch is out. :grumpy:

C'mon Naughty Dog, you've made an amazing game here. Sort your s*** out!
 
I too am experiencing the save bug. Won't bother with playing any further until a fix has been released. I certainly hope Naughty Dog is working this weekend to release a fix, as this is bordering on being unacceptable.

With that said, The game thus far is absolutely brilliant. The AI and sound design is really impressing me.

Edit: Surfing Naughty Dog's own website, they are indeed aware of the problem.

Internet is exploding with people saying they have it and how they've lost hours of game play. Also people saying they had it pre-update so it can't even be pinpointed to that. Please get this updated quick ND. Oh and don't let Sony address any further issues. "Try redownloading the game". Well I have a disk, do I have to buy it again?
 
Just delete this 1.01 patch and play the game. I've finished the main story without any problems before patch even was out, my saves worked like a charm, weirdly you can do only 10 of those.
 
So, what's the early opinion on this (save issue aside)? Is it as good as the reviews have said?

Better, despite this is not open world like Fallout. Still far from Uncharted series which in compare to Last of Us is a game for kids only. While Last of Us is much more mature adventure. I' love it all the way.
 
Well it took another 2 hours of game play but I got back to where I was this morning. Look on the bright side though. I shaved like 90 minutes off my time from earlier. :lol:
 
YES! My game will be here in about an hour. I was hoping there was an easy fix for this today, every since I read about it this morning. Must admit I wasnt to hopeful. Glad I was wrong.

And i just caught back up. Didnt take as long as i tought. Well i did kinda like a speedrun but still.

Man I love Ellie. She's a much better character than I was expecting. I was expecting a heavily Joel based game but it seems to go in depth into both of them.

Game. Is. AMAZING! I'm 29% through, and i absolutely love it.
The dialogue between Joel and Ellie is fantastic, and Ellie is a great character. In fact, I think she might just be on her way to become my favorite character in gaming.

Naughty Dog has outdone themselves on the sound design. Too bad it's now 23.00 in Denmark, and my apartment rules means I have to shut it off. :grumpy:

Can't wait to continue the game tomorrow.

Just one small nag, and this might be seen as a very small spoiler, so beware. But was anyone else annoyed by the lack of NPC's manning the 50.cal's on the Humvees? Just looked really odd, and is a somewhat lazy animation oversight.spoiler

Hey guys, is this game a sure buy? I was going to purchase today, but I heard about the save glitch. The trailer looked epic, but I wanted to get some input first hand. Let me know.
 
They fixed the save glitch as soon as they knew about it. The game looks like GOTY already people are going crazy, I think it's a must buy
