Yes you can, I have no idea how it works, but it seems if you are playing the singleplayer and go to chapter select (without loading a different save) you can just get your missing shiv doors/conversations and it will add them to your statistics. Just remember that although conversations save instantly, shiv doors don't until you have reached the next save point after unlocking them.
That's good to know cuz I missed a lot of optional conversation, at least 1/2 Ellie jokes and many collectibles.
Just tell me one thing, for example you choose chapter 2 on chapter select. After I finish that chapter will I return to the main menu or do I have to finish until the end of the game???

They look dang near identical and even the name is only off by 1 letter.
Ellie
Ellen
Its understandable she would be a bit complimented and frustrated with this. They really should have just paid her to do the voice over and it would have worked out perfectly.

She looks to be about 16-17 in the first picture, 13-14 in the second.. at least to me anyways.

Once you have found them, just get to the next autosave point, then quit to the main menu and go back into your normal file. I would recommend beating the game then finding the stuff you are missing, just in case something goes wrong, that is what I did :) .

Agreed, my first playthrough was 24 hours but I was enjoying the 'feel' of the game, taking in all of the areas and I found pretty much everything in that one run through. My second is going a lot faster, but my focus is a little different this time.

Some just like to push forward all of the time, more like an FPS combat game. I like the stealth approach and caution, which is pretty useless in other games - I also like to see where I can climb to and explore, so it does depend on how you play it really. That was one of the selling points of the game I believe, you choose how to tackle the game, stealth or aggression.

I just finished the normal difficulty on my first playthrough in a hair under 25 hours, and I'm right there with you. I didn't want to miss anything - well, not the collectibles, but the dialog and general atmosphere - and it was a treat. There were more than a few times I was genuinely stressed, wondering how I was going to get through a section, or worrying about getting noticed, and I love when a game has that sort of power. It's been a while since I played Metal Gear, so it was nice to be back in a stealth approach.

Now that I'm done, I redeemed my pre-order bonus code, and bam, whole soundtrack and some avatars and theme. There's some in-game bonuses too, so I'm glad I waited, as I didn't want to get an unfair advantage my first go-round.

Judging by what I've heard, I'll never make it through Survivor, but Normal was probably a bit too easy for me. I'll revisit some chapters to grab a few of the things I missed, then jump into the next difficulty. And this time, I can play whenever I want; my girlfriend started watching shortly after I got the game, and got so wrapped up in it that she didn't want to miss anything!

I've finished on survivor this week and overall i think it wasn't so hard, since i knew, where enemies are. Just took my time (and some attempts) to learn their walking patterns and sneaked through without shooting, it felt much more rewarding than shooting up the whole place.

...it felt much more rewarding than shooting up the whole place.
I still haven't used the assault rifle yet. I might this time around, just to see what it's like :)

...I am not sure about the listening upgrade, but I am intending to grab it by going onto NG++ with an easier difficulty, if the trophy doesn't pop without it that is .
I had Joel's hearing fully upgraded just after starting my second playthrough. I suppose that's the only way to do it, what with supplies being scarce on Survivor mode.

But Ellie's voice actress was great.

I finished the story today and oh boy, the Last Of Us is officially the best game I have ever played.
Outstanding graphics, amazing and realistic animations, and breathtaking cut-scenes! A remarkable experirience that you would never forget

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the best games I've ever played. But Last of Us gives me the same amount of post apocalyptic drama. Sadly because it is much shorter story line than fallout world i have to say this game is only as good to be Game of the Year 2013, but not the one to beat Fallout games.

Correct. She was changed to represent her voice actress more & in turn, also made a few years younger. :)

“After delving further into the game’s narrative over the past few months, we decided to modify Ellie’s model to better reflect [actress] Ashley [Johnson]’s personality, and also resemble a slightly younger teen more fitting to the story,” Druckmann told IGN. “We’re happy with the final result shown in the cinematic we have released today, and hope the fans like her too.”
It didn't really bother me either way, but I will admit that it would end up strange seeing "Ellie" in Beyond: Two Souls. :P

How are you guys enjoying the online part of the game? My clan is at 47 after about 5 hours of online play.

I'm bad at it since I'm dealing with actual players this time!! Need to play multi-player more to level up.

Single player is where you want to be. Now after finishing main story we all waiting for some DLC to extend this epic adventure. 👍

It's really good and addicting but you absolutely have to play with 3 people who use mics and work together otherwise it may frustrate the crap out of you. Teams who don't work together get run over by a well organized team. When two teams working together compete it is some of the most tense multiplayer I have ever experienced. Just today four of us were alive on final stand, no more respawns and came back to beat the other team who still had 4 respawns remaining. I've had a lot of moments like that so far.

The meta game actually adds enjoyment and some tense moments to your matches especially if you are struggling to meet the minimum requirements of the 100% casualty missions. I finished my first 12 weeks as Firefly tonight and will start as a Hunter tomorrow. Week 20 overall.:D

Add me on psn. I can play, and I have a mic. I'm week 5 hunter atm.

As per usual. it's a pathetic attempt at an online mode. Game would have been better without it.

Wow, so far everyone else I have heard from has liked it !. Also, no it would not be better without it, take one look at the quality of the singleplayer, the reviews it's been getting etc. The singleplayer was the perfect length, the multiplayer is a bonus that most people seem to be enjoying including me, in no way is it "pathetic"

In other news I just beat Survivor + and am about to start my 5th playthrough to grab the last gold singleplayer trophy ! .

In your opinion.

Of course it's my opinion. How could it be anything else?

The Singleplayer is indeed amazing. The multiplayer isn't. It's half-assed. It has some nice gameplay elements, but falls short of becoming anything but a repititive waste of time. The clan feature is utterly pathetic, doing away with any feeling of actually being part of something larger. Clan members are just random names that mean nothing to you, rather than being real people, or having any real purpose. Time limits during online games make sure to ruin any tense moments, and the only difference between game modes is the amount of respawns you get...

The absence of infected in multiplayer is very noticeable, and not in a good way. Most maps are small and plain boring. symmetrical maps are never a good idea.

There was potential here. But none of it has been conceived.
