Still not convinced by this. This may be gameplay but it's still a very scripted video in the sense that the person doing it clearly knows exactly what do to at each point, to trigger certain dialog and get into the right places. When we play it it's going to be very different and I just get the feeling it's not going to be as good when it's not so perfectly played. Time will tell, I guess.

Yeah. And seriously, another zombie game?

I really want to know what is it about zombies that fascinates people so much? It would make for a great dissertation for an English or Film major.

Naughty Dog State That The Last of Us Is Not A Zombie Game

New character shown in Game Informer magazine. Also, a new premiere to be shown Dec. 7th at the VGA's.

It's as far removed from the genre as The Walking Dead is.
Not as far as I see it - it's a fungal infestation, so mutants more like. But the rest of humanity in the game are pretty much as you'd find in a zombie game...or any other post apocalypic one.

Why? You haven't even played it yet.
True but I have watched every single trailer, read every article about it and I think I can truly say that this will be one of the best 3rd person games for this gen.

I was talking about Last Of Us.

The same can be said about Naughty Dog as well. Sure this is a new IP for them, but given the huge success of the Uncharted series and all the praise it revived from both critics and users, I think it is pretty fair to at least expect that The Last of Us will be a very good title. It is no different than expecting GTA V to be great based off their last titles, except we've actually seen gameplay from The Last of Us.

Why did i watch that?! Now im hyped wayy too much! Damn teasers.

Anyone have any idea of the release date?

The cut-scenes are looking superb :sly: though do I have faith that the game itself will look just as good.

Like I said before though, I just hope the game's method of highlighting hints and items needed will be minimised, or at least toned down from what we have seen so far.

There is some great looking atmosphere in there and it would be a shame to lose the immersivness in such a manner. Good stuff otherwise - story, visuals and tense gameplay await :)

I think it changes with the difficulty. Atleast i hope it does.

Releases May?! I mean MAY! How can i wait for over 5! MONTHS! Goddamn it!

Two great adventures in may then. Tomb Raider and Las of Us 2x:tup:👍

IGN Rewind on the newest trailer.

They've seemed to have skipped/edited out the scene with Joel looking pale & injured (picture) before showing Ellie with the gun(perhaps aiming it at Joel?).

RIP my 2013 wallet
I second this...

GTA V, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider and Metro: Last Light...

And that's only 4 of probably many great games in 2013.

The new Xbox is most likely released late next year aswell, probably a must have. :nervous:

I third this!!!

After over 30 years of playing games I should be a bit jaded and 2012 has been a bit disappointing, but 2013 looks greats, even better if the next gen consoles lauch.

I don't know how I'll get play anywhere near what I want to play with a decent amount of PC driving sims to play, all this other stuff and a 2 year old to look after! I've only just got round to buying Uncharted 3.
