as of now 1 RUF 1Mclaren

1 aston and 1 Z4 might get available if Logic or priesty pack off
 
I'll take the Von Ryan racing McLaren if that's ok?

I doubt I will be in 42's by Thursday, but the time is there for sure. It's about getting the rear to work.

I wish i could spent more time tunning my car.Looks like this Thursday i will run default set up as got no time to tune up.
also after patch 2.0 i got more bugs then before
 
If people are doing 42's there is little point in myself participating, in the mclaren best I managed was 46.5, in the Ruf 47.9 and the tires where all red in 3 laps my brother in the Audi 47.0 with all red in 5 laps, tried loads of different things but overheating tires means there is no way we can do a race distance, tires are overheating on the out lap, only thing we can do to stop over heating is go slow and by the looks of it we are already far to slow

Tried raising tyre pressures and changing camber? I haven't managed to get any practice in just yet. In the process of moving house, so kind of screwed. Gonna have to get it all done before the race :/

Yes tried putting psi up to 250 and still over heating also tried reducing camber by 50% was going to try 0 camber but psn kept on going down for maintenance and kicking me out the game so we gave up for the night, am unsure if it's just this track that am struggling with as I even had front and rear left overheat on the mclaren, that never happens normally, or if it's something that is happening because of patch 2.0, we both use ps4 controller, I believe that has a adverse effect on tire wear

Catalunya has one of the highest degradation rate. Everyone will struggle with tires. Try between 1.90-2.00 bar. No one is in 42's yet.
 
This is for the Ruf ......
Tyres at 1.85front ,1.90 back , camber front -0.09 , back -0.05 .
Fastest I could do with the Ruf is 1:44.129 ,but I can do only 1 or 2 laps than I can bake some eggs on may tyres .
With a laptime between 1:44.600 and 1:45.200 they stay around 100° and 108° and you have to be smooth/gentle on this track .
It will be a great challenge at Catalunya on thursday woooooooooo but I like it .

It'll be a nightmare tomorrow...

@Markhannu check if your car is rolling too much as in 4 wheel spin entry in turns... That kills a lot tyres. You improve it with more DF or arb

Also as already stated bring tires torward 0• Camber, give tires more pressure and be smooth while driving. If all fails work with lsd and antispin... If your lsd setup is too aggressive it can cause tire deterioration. Antispin can hel reduce overheating out of corners.

This is as much help i can give you but be aware i'm a dreadfully bad tuner as my times show, i did invite you for training yesterday but you didn't join.

What is antispin?

I would really like to tell people how to control rear tire heating, but I'm struggling myself.
 
Rear tire heating? no such issues for me at all, i barely have a bit of overheat on a couple of corners that immediatly cools down. Want to make a change your speed for my tire management? :D

Antispin is traction control, sorry :P
 
I had been at the pictures taking the twins to see minions when you invited me karsten, once I got home and seen the invite you was not online, was just bad timing, my ps4 is almost always on in the day even if I am not home

What is arb?

I imagine anti spin is traction control

We are using
Traction control and abs
No stability control is this correct?

And is the Audi available as it looks like it is

And I appreciate the help guys

I dont have any trouble overheating my tires. After 10 laps they are still in the green. Just be nice and gentle :P.

108°C is still green. They stay green until ~110-120 depending on the compound and heat repartition (inside->outside).
It's an ok temperature but you might struggle by the end of the race, especially race 2.
 
As it stands, i will most likely sit out this race at Catalunya

if it is ok i will switch my attentions to Brno as i cant face doing another lap of Catalunya

It would be really silly since you are on pace with most drivers. Also just to string a note, i was 2.5 seconds slower in last race on a single lap; yet i finished race 1 as third....

Even if you take it as a test and no more, you'll get into a standing start with us, you'll learn how we drive and basically have fun.

In any case it's up to you.

i understand what you are saying, but the Ruf is just too difficult to drive with my driving style and with the amount of tire wear at catalunya i cannot foresee myself finishing the race

myself and my brother would like to switch to to the Audi For Brno as it suits us much better

This evening I tried to do a online race at Catalunya just to see if everything works fin with the NEW PATCH , and guess what ........ :banghead: ...... for the first online race all went well , but because there was to much mambo jambo in this race I was searching for another one at Catalunya and found one , I went in the room (untill there noooo problem) but from the moment i wanted to go in..... SESSION IN PROGRESS I got a error with nr 45-678 or something . :rolleyes:
Tried to do some other hosting race but with the same problem . :boggled:
Strange thing is , if I host myself a little party there seems to be no problem .
The only solution I see ( and what I have done at this moment)is to re-download the game and hope it works for tomorrow .

Ps 1: I think I need 9 life at the speed my downloading is happening for the moment .
Ps 2: Dident had this problem be for patch 2.0 .
Ps 3: I hope no one else has this problem after patch 2.0 .
