Hello!

It seems that Asseto Corsa has broken my Thrustmaster T300 ferrari integral alcantara..

problem started when I was racing KTM, force feedback disappeared, finished race restarted the console and wheel... and.....

problem is - Plug in wheel, turn on PS4 and it slowly turns to centre and then starts to hit itself heavily with maximum speed from one side to another, if I try to stop it a bit it just hits itself from one side 45 degree, back and forward.. looks creepy...
if I start the game half of force feedback is gone, I can still drive but it feels "different" a lot, like half of it is gone!

What is going on? what could i do? is it a glitch or is it broken already (after playing Project cars and dirt no problems.. 2 days of assetto corsa and its done!).

Thanks!

update..

just tested PS3 with gt6, happens almost the same.. wheel spins and hits itself from side to side when turned on at insane fast speed (if I force stop it with hands it centres out), if I go into a game it is working right, half of feedback is gone, and feels strange to counter steer..

on ps4 assetto corsa where it started it gets worst, if I let go wheel it may start to do that "kill himself" thing, and spin fast from side to side, seems if I let it do it it will 100% break even more..

seems need to get a replacement.. pity.. I bet it has something to do with that crazy FF at assetto corsa.. i turned it down to 40 right from the start and it still was strong enough (i liked it).. but now.. really disappointed!

Try this.
If this does not help try this.

well I tried both and it got better, but its still might glitch when turned on and in game it feels like T150, half of feedback is gone, weird because when I test it and motor itself is strong, but when I enter any game it feels different, and i cant drive no more because of that, cant understand counter steering and it feels too light, sometimes feedback gets back and then after a while gone again.. seems it has some kind of fault sadly..

I had same issue. Ended up sending in my wheel for repair in May.

Here is the worst part. My warranty just expired in June 2016 and now wheel is doing the exact same thing, yet this time it slams only to one side. Called Thrustmaster, since I am out of warranty they will not cover repair.

Hope you still have a warranty. I also tried the above, did help for a few days.

Really like the feel of the wheel, just do not like the lack of dependability.

I am sorry to hear that guys.

yeah, sad to hear, in my case wheel is only 7 months old, I just contacted my shop, they say I bring it back and they send it to thrustmaster, so hopefully I will get it back in a month.. :( still sucks to wait, just got assetto corsa (which in fact did this to my wheel!)

PS. the wheel works but it dosnt centre out while driving so there is no feedback and auto rotate back, its difficult to drive like that.. seems like these t300 wheels might become T150 one day to anyone.. pity.. I really enjoyed this new Alcantara setting..

UPDATE: since I have warranty for more than a year, I tested the wheel for more this weekend and I found this problem weird, I calibrated the wheel again on PC and then got into PS3 GT6, and it worked (like normal for some time, but I noticed that Force Feedback still sometimes started to fade away and wheel stops to rotate back to middle, while it can work normally for some hours, it can start to do weird things after a while).

when plugged into PS4 in PS4 mode like it should be, tested Dirt, was ok, tested AC still ok... restart the wheel and it might start to glitch again with that self rotating killing itself from side to side at high speed (if I help it to stop with hand it stops, when enter a game, there is half force feedback, almost no centering) if I restart some times it might start to work again.. if I calibrate it again on PC it might start to work again or glitch from the start when plugged in..

the motor itself is strong, so this is some sort of sensor/contact or software problem.. maybe this helps to some of you if you have these issues!

PS. contacted Thrustmaster, they send back complicated message with several tasks for me to do one of them is uploading the video of my wheel calibrating, but I dont think it will help in any way, because when its calibrating on PC its doing it normally, hitting itself glitch is already in the youtube (nothing new there) and since my problem is more connected with gameplay and force feedback loss I doubt I can do something else, but send it back to be fixed/replaced!

some videos to see how it looks - in my case it almost never calibrates until its restarted, calibrated again on PC or force stopped with hands.

and it seems I have to do this EVERY time for it at least to work one time.. and it can start to loose FORCE FEEDBACK at any time while driving..

im planning to buy a t3oors to replace my t500rs wheel.but the problem with the t300rs wheel is reliabilty.thrustmaster have a real problem withs its t300,because i supect the motor sensor is the problem.when i see one of my firend to open up the ffb motor becuase is brusheless, its has a diode or chip inside the motor, maybe that the problem, cause when they heat up they burnt the diode or circuit inside the motor,so its hit or miss.so 50% will be bad.unlike brushed motor simply design. so im thinking if the t150 is the best route for me.i cant buy the t300rs if will be damge less than a year,it will be hassle to complaint to thrustmaster for me.they need to improve the ffb motor or the control circuit from the base itself.go for buhler german made not china made, and i hope they learn there lesson.they will never admit it.but they know they have a problen in there 1 product the t300rs.the failure rate must be at 10 percent in electronic product not almost 50%.

yup, there is a electronic inside the ffb motor ,maybe that the one when to much heat can cause error in the motor itself.there must be a connection why the last update change the fan mode on the t300.

Just so you know, I got my T300 integral ferrari alcantara 2 weeks ago (it took one month, but its not Thrustmasters fault, I got it in local internet store, they got it in other bigger internet store, and they had to send the wheel to each other, funny I know!) still got brand new wheel, so thanks for Thrustmaster for good customer service! I didnt have much time to test it (had to work) just turned it on with Dirt.. it still has more than a year of warranty so I hope I will get to play Gran turismo Sport for a full year knowing that :D still hope it dosnt break up. On this wheel I notice some differences, the looks are the same (only new) but inside, the motor felt more "mechanical" like it is maybe a bit stronger and made a bit different noise, maybe its just me, will test it soon more properly!

So thanks for the feedback.. and that water cooling mod is amazing :) its like a life support system for the wheel! :)

This guy below is happy too with new replacement! ;)
