Today was a mildly apathetic day for me, I went in and pre-ordered GT6.

It felt like a 2nd place prize, it won't be bad, far from it I'm looking forward to it, hence the pre-order, but I'll have to wait until GT7 for the game I was really hoping for.

Which begs the question, in an alternative reality, I did pre-order both the PS4 and GT6, as there it will be released on that console, but since it isn't, why should I pre-order a PS4 in this reality?

I haven't bought a console from new since... sadly it might be the GameCube, don't think even the Super Nintendo (my first console) or N64 were straight from new, the PS2 and PS3 certainly weren't, neither was my Wii or short lived 360.

I just can't find a title coming out for it worth $500 or whatever it'll be, GT6 'might've' been worth it (imo would've been), otherwise, anything else?

So are you, and if so, why?

Wait a while.

They normally do bundle deals where you can save money.

Like COD55 and a PS4.

Yeah, of the generation where shooters are only for PC anyway (pre 90s born), so wouldn't touch that with a barge pole, personally.

Just saying.

I got my PS2(phat) with GT3 bundled with it.

Then when i got GT4 i got the steering wheel with it too.(basic thing)

I am going to preorder a PS4. As a matter of fact, I'll probably go to a launch event in Tokyo. Looking forward to it. I know there'll be a shortage of games at the start but I'm fine with that. I'll pick up a copy of watch dogs to play on the PS4 and will have Arkham Origins, GT6, GTA:V and Dark Souls 2 on the ps3 to keep me busy waiting for more decent PS4 games.

Between gaming and going to Suzuka, It's going to be an expensive holiday season for me. I'll need to buy the wife something nice to make it up to her.

I think we'll have a fairly long wait to play PS3 games on our PS4s. We also don't know how it will work yet. Will we have to pay to play games that we already own or will we be able to put the PS3 disc in the PS4 to prove that we own the game? I hope it's the latter. It would be great if the ps4 would re direct you to Gaikai when you insert a PS3 disc.

Meh. Won't be buying it this year. I just built a PC and I don't want to blow another $500 on vidya. I'll definitely get GT6 though, my PS3 still has some life. I'm sure eventually I'll pick up a PS4 or Xbox One. Just waiting for the inevitable price drops.

Same here. In fact its pretty likely I won't buy a PS4, and it's certain I won't buy GT6.

I'll buy GT6. It's on ps3 I got that and I spend a lot of times on GT5 even if it's not the case anymore.

I'd (and will) wait for the Slim edition, and GT7. I've actually only had Slims so far (PS2 and 3's only, though) :p.

Wow I might be another guy waiting for GT7 for the PS4. Idk, 2 or 3 good games beforehand and I'll think about it, if it's around the $400-$500 AUD mark, but without other features (that the PS3 doesn't already have), hard to justify for any single game (except GT7).

I'm waiting for a Metal Gear or Gran Turismo before I think about buying one, and even then if Metal Gear gets ported to PC (Rising is, apparently, as for a canonical one... You never know!) and one of the new breed of PC sims - AC or pCARS - is better than GT7 in the ways that matter to me, I won't need a PS4 anyway. Both are pretty big ifs though, but I'm not going to preorder mine. Unless MGS V is confirmed as a launch title.

I'm not gonna rush out and preorder, but I'll buy one at some point. As long as there are platform exclusives I'll be tempted. Which is a frustrating situation.

I'm getting GT6, and most likely gonna pre-order the PS4.

Gonna sell many of the PS3 games that I never play anymore, so it won't be that expensive for me.

I'll hold off. A spare $600 USD is not going to be easy for me to come up with in 8 months

I am going to most likely wait until GT is on PS4 and also hopefully by then the 20nm die shrink version of PS4 comes out (Late 2014 or early 2015).

Well I just threw down a wad of cash for a new GPU for my PC, so I guess I know where I cast my lot for the foreseeable future.

I most likely will. Get Battlefield 4 and Project Cars on it and then see what else is on offer.

PS4 is definitely in my future, just not immediately so no pre-order.

Don't want to buy it right away since I already got a laptop, desktop, and a PS3 already. I also wonder if the PS4 will support my Fanatec GT3 wheel.

I won't preorder it, but I will be getting it for Christmas this year as well as the Xbox One. (If it has any games that interest me other than Forza)

Actually, geezuz, this is a good point, the game values of the PS3 games will almost completely die after the PS4 is launched, so trading in the games, regardless of whether or not toward a PS4 itself, is probably a good idea.

I'm preordering one so I don't get stabbed at launch trying to get one. Also the new COD & NFS will be enough games for me for a year. Hopefully there's a COD or NFS bundle for me to preorder. 👍

I went and clicked the wrong option in the poll

I most likely will not be pre-ordering, but buying on the day of release. My Mum works at a local supermarket who will no doubt be stocking the PS4 upon release. I will get a 10% discount which I definitely will not turn down. I can use the money I saved to buy one of the launch titles.
