PSM3 Australia...have i missed something?

hey guys im from down under and in the "The Insider" section of the march 2010 issue of PSM3-Australia they seem pretty adamant that polyphony have confirmed a winter (summer for you Americans) release. they go on to say in the "2010 preview section" that it is suspected for a June release in Australia.

I've been checking on GTP everyday for a very long time now but i don't think ive seen this. Am i the only one who's not in on this?

PS. the actual sentence reads: Still waiting patiently for Gran Turismo 5? Then you'll be overjoyed to know that Polyphony have confirmed a winter 2010 release for the West. Will they keep their promise this time?

And yes i know that these kind of threads aren't supposed to be made but i'm not actually saying a release date so 👍

I bet it's true you know, I'll be getting my apprenticeship signed off in May which means all my annual leave will get paid out, and starting with my new employer as a qualified parts interpreter I'll have no annual leave accrued to take for the release of GT5.:lol:

Well, if it makes it any harder for you to bear, I'll be on holiday from university, the last mid-semester break I'll take from my games course.

I'll go from playing hours and hours of games over the semester (and a few hours making them, apparently), to lots and lots of free time to play GT5 over the holidays.

Life is hard for me :sly:

That said, if they do something stupid like launch the game during the exam period...

@forgetful, i didnt mention tracks?? but no that was it, the rest of the article with the black bakground was just about gt academy (nothing new just what it was all about)
 
Looks to me like they're just speculating to me, nothing concrete to go on.

The bit about the '3 discs', well they read it here first. 💡

Yep, I get the same impression. It sounds like their sources are various gaming websites and forums, rather than Sony or Polyphony Digital.

You did notice it's an Australian magazine? Winter is in a different period there than over here. ;)
 
But they say it's confirmed by Polyphony....???
Well March is just a few days away, maybe we will finally here something positive.

If the recent ESRB rating is anything to go by,there'll be a new 3 minute GT5 trailer on the God of war 3 disk.Lol if it's available in the options i'll watch that first,then play GOW3.

I could live with a summer release for the northern hemisphere.
 
Hmmm.. sounds like speculation on their part.. you have to wonder, why would they have insiders info when PD obviously gave no official info at all?

Nah.. im sure it's all speculation once again, just like indy cars, and a 2009 release date debacle we saw last year.

Thanks for the info though.. much appreciated and hopfeully im wrong.
 
Man, how they hide that release date from us and no worker or insider "accidentaly" let the truth come out? PD must have a lot of control over classified information. The only thing I can assume is that PD don't know yet when the game will finally be released.

But it was a nice try to find some new info, good work OP. 👍
