The whole article sounds like they came on GTP, read a few threads about "plausible" rumors, and decided to write a story about it. June release, 3 disks? All the safety words they use in the article, "rumored", "most likely", "who knows".

Are you implying I don't play games when I should be sleeping?

No, that you should have a guilty conscience knowing how easy or fun your job is compared to everyone else.;)

A Winter release for Australia would be fantastic. At the same time I'm guessing that it will be a Summer USA release.

But how did they (the magazine) know that or do they know that an Aussie winter release has been confirmed? Strange.. Surely GTPlanet would have known before any magazine.

It's probably a guestimation, if they're right their mag gains street cred, if they're wrong the blame is put on PD for making it sound like they've delayed the release, even though they didn't make the claim for the release but probably are delaying for no good reason.

I wouldn't doubt it. I bet magazine people and even PD employees read GTPlanet. Thats probably where they get most of their "what the fans say" information.

Speaking of released in Aus. The letter you get in the Gt academy package says "To help you out with practice, you will be one of the first people in Australia to receive a copy of Gran Turismo 5 when it launches in Australia".

It then goes on to say "Throughout the year we'll send you a few playstation surprises" . It sorta hints that a copy of gt5 will be one of the prizes I will receive during the year.... 2010 hopefully :)
