PSN is slow

I did a search but nothing came up. I have Qwest dsl at about 7mbps. It works great on my computer but runs very slow on my PS3. Anyone else have this problem or a fix for it?

Mine runs much slower then any of my computers and the 360. I have time warner cable and upgraded to the turbo and it helped, but it's still slow compared to everything else.

I did a search on google and found a 5 year old thread on Sony's Playstation forum about it. Some guy figured out how to switch some ip thingy and plug some numbers in but it was all over my head and half the links were broken. It's frustrating to download something on my Mac at (+ -)700k a second and to have a demo or Gt5 update putter along and take hours.

Sounds like he set up a static IP and port forwarded. Plenty of guides on the internet explaining how to do this. Having said that, I forwarded aswell and mine are still slow, but that could be the crap UK broadband
