I have the GT3 box set. They need to do something special with the PS2 itself. Like make it white with the GT4 logo under the PS2 logo. And it needs to come with a memory card that has the GT4 logo on it too.

Hey that's cool - haven't seen it before.

And I agree, there needs to be more done than decals. The plastic itself needs to be a different color, with embossing or something.

Well, it may sound stupid, but the GT3 Racing Pack released in the U.S. had a PS2 Model of its own, the SCPH-35001... it was a Gran Turismo exclusive (though it shared the same V4 system layout of the 30001R.

Got the mini PSTWO,now all I need is the meat!!!!This new unit seems to run quite warm the first 1or2 days then runs much cooler after that.Seems to "run itself in" somewhat.

Memory cards the same, it will even read PS1 cards.

Really? I was thinking of buying one, since my current PS2 is giving me DREs up the ying-yang. But, I decided to send my broken PS2 to Sony for a free service repair. Or, should I say, "NO FEE OFFER."

Still, if things go bad with my repair, I'll probably just buy the mini PS2. Can you stand it up, and stll load games with it in that same position? I have no idea how this new pop open DVD lid works.

So my NTSC-US Playstation 2 will read any Sony Memory Card from anywhere in the world? SAWEET. Time to order one of those bad boys.

I did not say that.

I thought the stand comes with it since it's so small? I guess I heard wrong. I'll guess I'll do a search to see how much the extra stands costs. I stand my PS2 up, so I need to know if the stand is really necessary. Is it? The original PS2 was so wide the stand wasn't really necessary.

It needs the stand. The console is as thick as two DVD cases.

Yes they will. You can use a Japanese memory card, on a US PS2, with PAL game saves. It makes no difference. I have 2 japanese memory cards on a US/V7 PS2. 👍
