If F1 ever stopped going to Monaco, I would do a happy dance.

ugh

Fun stuff guys.

After running these few races, I'm actually glad we're cancelling Monaco and hopefully (fingers crossed) changing the track for next week. Seemed to find that after 4-5 laps of sitting on peoples bumpers I get a banging headache trying to one, keep up, and two, not say hello to the railings! Easily lose attention and concentration after a few laps..

Thanks outlaw for running this, was good fun 👍

Now I can better stand if we get another track next week :)

My car felt like junk so I'm glad as well 👍
Rome and Madrid can make nice races.

Room's been closed.

Overall, the Chicanegate GP went quite well. With the first race, most finished where they started. Once we kept going with inverted fields, it got quite... interesting. :D

In fact, I think we're going to do this again tomorrow during the D2 time slot. Limited damage, laps at 10, free run times as Q times for the first race, then we'll keep going with inverted fields until your wrists are sore. Again, anyone from both divisions welcome. 👍

I'll post Q times and Race 1 results for this session shortly.

fun++

but now my wrists are sore.

Why? the track is only:
Right, left... still left, right, right, left, right, right, pause:, left.right.left a little more, left, left.right , right, left, little left, right, right, pause...
Right....
Simple :dopey:

I dc'd twice in a row and gave up. Didn't really want to jump through hoops just to play. :(

In the room, I DC'ed once, and joshua locked up when we did a reset. If you can make it, there's tomorrow. 👍

*(Monaco All-Stars for those that want to be politically correct)

Today was a bad day for connections it seems.
You mean there's such a thing as a good day for connections in GT5? :boggled:

As for track selection, I prefer Madrid. I'm okay with Rome IF we do it in reverse. Otherwise, we'll have 5 pages of bickering about people grazing the wall exiting the kink. :ouch:

(that or just complaints about what a pain it is to navigate through it at high speed going in the normal direction)

Maybe tomorrow we can try Rome, Rome R, and Madrid, see which one has the best races?

You guys are already at the season finale? Wow I thought you were maybe only 2-3 races in to be honest... Good luck to you all ;)

At Madrid last season, it was almost like Monaco, at least in terms of getting a pass completed. See for yourself:

Rome in either direction will probably be closer to Spa, sans weather, but not quite there.

I'll be there, hopefully I won't spin in the section after the hairpin and take people out like I did in the gt4 race.

Anyone doing some racing tonight?
Yep. I'll actually open a room shortly. We can do some free runs at Rome Reverse and switch to Monaco in an hour. 👍

Breaking News

TurtleSpeed racing is shutting it's doors after a dismal season in the FMSC Series. The team has sold it's equipment and shop to driver J. Brooks (Jay_B_II) who will debut his new team WOS Revolution Motorsports at the FMSC season finally in Rome.

Translation - I hope you don't mind RT but I'm going to run my new light blue and white paint scene (that I'll be running in the FMTC) for the finally.

Room closed.

That was a tad more nutty than the Saturday races, but was still fun. We even had a pileup. Will post results tomorrow. 👍

The bonus was getting some laps at Rome with others, with a race or two to boot. Pretty fun, actually, but we'll likely see the safety car come out for crashes exiting the kink. Times were in the high 13s-14s.

No problem.

Really? Interesting, because going the other direction in Mule's Integra series this weekend we were running exactly the same times. :dopey:

Not surprising. They're not that far off in performance. The GT4C cars were only about a second faster and that's with much more power.

At this point, chances of me racing at Laguna is 50/50. Odds are at least better than GT Academy, which is currently at 0%. :(

This thread seems pretty dead.. what's going on?!

Anyway, will hope to get a room up tonight, need to get some practice in for Rome as I've barely ran it in any car

Off topic though, I'm thinking of investing in a wheel and what not. Will stay away from it if it'll take a chunk out my wallet though. Can anybody give me some advice on what I could go for? Bare in mind I don't have a desk to attach a wheel too, so I think i'd have to buy a stand and what not!
