thank you denilson, and i hope i did it right with this post lol
Being extremely green to the whole GT500 world, I have been trying to learn as much as I can from the post throughout the thread. I typically run without the "chassis reinforcement" mod and am wondering if it really does make that big of a noticeable difference at the limit?
I'll try to give them all some runs on the current specs and see what I find, but in WSGTC the SC430's and GTR's were very close, in both corners and straights, so I'll see what I get with these newer specs. Why add 50KG ballast to the Lexus? The Lexus loses on the straights big time, so it needs to be quicker on the turns to make it even with the rest. Im sorry but the specs are off right now. The NSX is too fast, the Lexus has no power. The GTR is good, feels balanced. The Lexus and the NSX need work in my opinion.
To be perfectly honest, I don't think there's much time to gain in either section by running wide, but it's a fair point to penalize it, as it can in certain circumstances gain a bit.Lets talk about the practice race coming up:
IMO spa has some issues we need ground rules for.

Running wide on the run-off in Pouhon and Blanchimont should come with a penalty. I tend to be a bit draconian on the things so I'd say that if a driver goes beyond the kerbing they're required to lift and let cars through that stayed on track.

When reaching the start line (Note that the startline is not the line where the timer sarts, it's the line 200ish meters up the road.
I'll host race 1.
Who'll host race 2?
Aderrrm? Remy_K?
I think I'll be using an NSX if anyone's interested although I haven't done any practice yet.![]()
Sorry I haven't been in the practice rooms, haven't found any motivation to drive the car. Going to try and get some track time tonight.
So you're not moving this weekend?
I figured with it being the first race of the season and all. People just wanted to test something different. We'll do a vote for that, but it won't be Suzuka 👍
I bring this up because I see complaints in the practice rooms, and they usually have something to do with comparing them to other drivers times.
Bottom Line - I don't want to see people upset after the pre-season race in a few hours, the specs aren't final, there are other options. I'd like people to keep that in mind, and as I said, if picking a car for the season is hard, then Dennis has done excellent work.
