Well, I only have experience using it on the Calsonic GT-R some time ago on R3's, so maybe the affects vary from car to car. I will say that once I put the reinforcement mod on the GT-R, I was able to reduce the spring rate a bit to improve traction and overall lap time (something I couldn't take advantage of before installing the mod). I remember at Deep Forest (where I first installed it) I immediately found an extra 2-3 tenths (on a ~ 1'05 lap time), which was a pretty significant amount. The feeling I got was a much more direct feeling (lets say less mushy and unpredictable) through the wheel particularly during corner entry, with more overall mechanical grip 👍
I'll try and share my findings once I install the mod on my Takata NSX and do some testing around Spa.
Edit: Rees' problem could have simply been that he didn't change the suspension settings to dial in the car's balance after doing the modification. Just a thought.

I'll try to give them all some runs on the current specs and see what I find, but in WSGTC the SC430's and GTR's were very close, in both corners and straights, so I'll see what I get with these newer specs.
One thing to keep in mind is Spa being a very high-speed track, speed is of the essence there more then anywhere except Le Sarthe.
So while one car may suffer speed at Spa, it might gain that back on most other tracks in the game, so I'll give them a shot elsewhere as Dennis has been doing.👍

I personally would never run either wide, as I think it hurts lap times more then it helps.
I find Eau Rouge and the "bus stop" chicane before start/finish line much more vulnerable areas, particularly running wide at the bus stop.
Also these types of areas exist on most every track, I think a general standard of lift-off for 2 seconds for the second offense in each race would do nicely, any blatant or intentional cutting is not something I expect to see with the drivers we have, but could obviously be spotted easily by those of us that watch the replays.

The DENSO/PETRONAS SC430, Z and YELLOWHAT, XANAVI, AUTECH, CALSONIC GT-R get 50 kg ballast because they are superior in the turns.
The Z and Lexus is actully less affected by the extra weight compared to the GT-R because of their much stronger (Torque from Turbo 2) register.
The Lexus got tons of power at current specs. Look at WSGTC, the Lexus won a few races and took pole at Laguna Seca and Nurburgring, was fast at Monaco and the other tighter tracks along with the Z.
And because of the heavier load (making the SC430's and GT-R's slower in corners) and improved handling for the NSX, we can now reduce the Bhp output from the current 526, down to 516ish. That would def slow the NSX down the straights.
And I actually think that the selection will be even better than I though.

We do not have an OP to describe it, but we will have a rule that says "2 wheel touching track/white line/curbs at all times", meening 3 wheels outside the track is subject to penalties.
In quali, we will be very strict (No quali prior this race tho), and 1 inch outside the track limits will be penalized 3 seconds at least.
In race, sometimes small mistakes/misjudgements happens, so once or twice going outside the track limits will not render an automatic penalty.
However, going off repetedly, even by the slightest will end up in a penalty.
On that note, penalties will be a percentage based kind of method that will be explained soon. So for this weeks race, we will just list all incidents/situations that is concidered a violation.
The top of Eau Rouge is a place where we will be strict. Make sure to rce clean, and stay with at least 2 wheels on track/white line/curb. 👍

Had a Long race at spa on thursday night in a series i race in and its
definatley very easy to go off line through Pouhon,Blanchimont and Eau Rouge.
Flat out easy on your own but when you are in dirty air behind another car you definatley need to lift to get through clean, and that is using R3's so i can imagine its even easier to go off on R1's.

When you're happy with your lap, do not enter the pits (The System tend to "loose" lap times), instead park your car on any of the big tarmac run off areas well clear of the track.
(If the system for any reason screw the grid spots up dispite our efforts, just start the race as we are placed. It's only trouble to form the grid thru chat during the formation lap)
Pole car will act as pace car and cruice at 63 Mph / 100 kmh.
When reaching the start line (Note that the startline is not the line where the timer sarts, it's the line 200ish meters up the road. Pole car can start anywhere before the start line, but he have to make sure that all cars are clear of the last turn (All cars need to be on the straight for it to be legit to start the race).
Do not accelerate / brake / turn to try and warm your tires. It's dangerous and because of lag and such damage may occur.
Make sure to keep your distance.
Only when approching the last chicane you can start formin in to 2 lanes.
Pole car will be on the right lane, along with all uneven numbers, and even numbers will form on the left side.
No passing before the start line.

It seems some people aren't happy with the car specs, so I've gathered some thoughts on what to say and potential options we could have, just throwing these out there for everyone to pitch a voice on.
It seems people got used to testing them at old specs and got comfortable, both with their times, and the way the cars handled. (at stock weight and/or aero)
I don't think anyone wants to scratch NSX's completely though, they're a staple part of JGTC history, and we like seeing them around. But people don't want the NSX faster on any track, and they want it to handle better on slower tracks to keep up with others. This simply cannot be done to the exact T, so to speak.
If picking a car is a very difficult decision for the season, the specs are proper in my opinion. That was my goal when I brought it up. If everyone wants GTR's, SC430's, Z's, and the Castrol Supra, then the specs need changing. Or the others need left out.
I don't want to be a downer, but these are the only options we have.
1. NSX's rule fast tracks, get slaughtered on slow tracks
2. NSX's are a bit quicker on fast tracks, a bit slower on tight tracks.
3. Add even more weight to non NSX cars, to really go for equality on every track, which will bring in tire wear issues, among others.
4. GTR's, SC430's, Xanavi Z, and Castrol Supra are the only cars used. (NSX, Bandai, YMS, Enos, Advan completely removed)
Current specs are option 2.
Since I don't think most anyone will wish for NSX's removed, I think we have the best possible option, did some more testing, and I still have the YMS and Bandai to test yet, but otherwise I think we're solid.
I do not object to option 4 if it's popular opinion, whatever the drivers want is fine by me, just throwing all the options out there.
And also I believe the Epson NSX should be scrapped, no offense to Dennis, it's running 1.5-2 seconds a lap quicker at spa, and even though I know it's slower on slower tracks, it's a prime example of what I wanted to change in the specs for the NSX in the first place, being very lopsided on different tracks.
For the most part I think people are happy with the current specs Dennis has listed, and so far, I've found them pretty fair, sans the Epson NSX. (haven't tried the Enos or Advan again, they're just un-fixable imo)
I bring this up because I see complaints in the practice rooms, and they usually have something to do with comparing them to other drivers times.

Since I don't think most anyone will wish for NSX's removed, I think we have the best possible option, did some more testing, and I still have the YMS and Bandai to test yet, but otherwise I think we're solid.
I do not object to option 4 if it's popular opinion, whatever the drivers want is fine by me, just throwing all the options out there.
And also I believe the Epson NSX should be scrapped, no offense to Dennis, it's running 1.5-2 seconds a lap quicker at spa, and even though I know it's slower on slower tracks, it's a prime example of what I wanted to change in the specs for the NSX in the first place, being very lopsided on different tracks.
For the most part I think people are happy with the current specs Dennis has listed, and so far, I've found them pretty fair, sans the Epson NSX. (haven't tried the Enos or Advan again, they're just un-fixable imo)
I bring this up because I see complaints in the practice rooms, and they usually have something to do with comparing them to other drivers times.
Bottom Line - I don't want to see people upset after the pre-season race in a few hours, the specs aren't final, there are other options. I'd like people to keep that in mind, and as I said, if picking a car for the season is hard, then Dennis has done excellent work.

It's just that my main objective has been to get the ARTA/TAKATA/RAYBRIG on par, so I kind of left the EPSON for now. I will start with the ENEOS, BANDAI, WOODONE after this weeks race.
I will not ban any car for this race, but I strongly recommend that we use a car from this list:

Yeah it's hard to get all cars equal for "every" track. Is this not the case in real life anyway? Some cars suite a particular type of circuit. You take the good with the bad.
The hard thing with JGTC is that the different years have different rules so car perfomances is very hard to even out.
I'm new here but having read the thread I see you guys have done a lot of work and you are all to be congradulated on what you have achieved.
I am in room 2 but living in NZ I think I am too far away from the majority to host as lag and DC's may be an issue.

I think you speak about me...lol. Thanks for all your explications. Now i understand. And heum I was happy on Suzuka because i have seen that i was in the right way on timer 👍 . So, all is good for me now for my Z specs. I just know that's impossible for me to win a race on Spa with it, but why not Suzuka....
