Yes I know car hes missed quite a few peoples entries, Jacks from page 6 and my repost of mine and Jacks entries on page 11 Post #206.... (He did this to me in Integras last season aswell :sly:)

I'm going to do some testing with this car tonight when I get home. I'll open a practice room if there's not already one up.

Hopefully you wont forget me either there mule. As I was the 2nd reply with interest in this series before everyone besides you and wardez. I wanted to participate in the preseason race, which wont happen since I've upgraded the car. So to everyone saying why not wait for the update, it doesn't look like thats happening before this preseason race takes place.

He's going to test with tuning "allowed" and "prohibited". You can take place in a PP regulated "allowed" race, that shouldn't be an issue if Mule's ok with it.

Of course being pre-season and testing it'd be a shame if people needed to cheat rather then actually test. So open tuning and PP reg could be fine for both.

I can't find any tunes for the RX-7 TC. If anyone is cozy with one of the top tuners around here see if you can persuade them to tune our car!

I've just taken the car for spin in stock trim. My initial impressions are than it understeers a bit more than I would like, especially mid-corner and at the corner exit. The initial turn in is ok, but could be better.

This car is very push in oversteer out.
I changed my line some and got a 1.58.8XX. I found that forcing (rolling) the car to push in and out of the corners helped big time.

I got a push in and through mid corner, then oversteer out.

I could build one, or I could probably get Praiano to build one.
The main thing is, it's all driver preference. What's perfect for you is probably not perfect for me, etc.
If we are/were considering a "standard tune" that everybody run I'd swing my vote to just tuning prohibited first.

If we do go tuning (:nervous:)...
Do you know how to cure oversteer on exit, I'm not mashing the throttle?

Why not do it like Capp Cup? Have a tuner make a couple tunes people can use, but those who want to tune the car themselves are free to do so.

@Travis(carracer)
Mmm, tighten up the LSD?

Also, ride height; bring the nose down lower than the rear and it should help.

Yes. It's between the LSD and/or shocks. Could be both. Most likely cured easiest with the shock though, LSD carries effect to other things along with adjustments.

I can never remember their names, but the first one, (compression?) controls balance on throttle. the second one (Extension?) controls handling under braking.

Click the link in my sig and scroll down a little bit, you'll find my thoughts on each piece of tuning.

I always set the LSD to fix it but it hurts the mid corner.
Compression, Extension, thanks for explaining that, I kinda just guessed what they did and some times it worked...
You wouldn't happen to have a MP4-12C tune about you would you?
LOL..... Joking.

What LancerEvo7 has said is what I would prefer. I'm not overly picky about the car suiting my driving style perfectly. To be honest I don't even have a driving style that I'm aware of. All I want is a car with a sharp, immediate turn in and no significant understeer throughout the corner. From there I will adapt to the car as needed.

So I'm not advocating a "standard tune", but I will gladly take a tune that you or another advanced tuner comes up with. :)

I can promise at least 2 tunes to choose from for the start of the season. I can make a "my tune" and a "standard tune". Mine would over-steer more, be sharper and generally harder to drive.

I will also request a tune from some tuners in the meantime. 👍

This is the issue with no tuning. The car will be hard to drive for lots of people. I have a slight tune, if you want it, PM on PSN or add me- freshseth83

That's why myself and Mule both agreed everyone should test the car with both options before making a final decision.👍

Hence the "tuning" and "no-tuning" races scheduled.

Nice work prai, thanks a lot.

If we run spec I'll be in for this. Gotta check what looks pretty for colors though.

Sorry guys, was going to open a room but I'm not in the best of moods so I'm going to skip it tonight.

I'm interested in this series, the only thing is my RX-7 has already had updrades installed, so I would pass the 'prohibited tuning' restriction.

Surely prohibiting tuning will make alot of people unable to compete?

I will also make a base tune available if people want.

No upgrades, period. There's simply no need for them at all.

Just wait until the next update.

opening a room up in a few minutes for anyone to pop into. On my eay home from work. I'll post the room number then.
