There is going to be a football(soccer) match at 3:15EST. Im still racing, but if a lot of people are going to be out, Im completely fine with delaying the race or skipping it. :D

When is the race actually - 9pm GMT? Forgot and can not find it anywhere.

Scanny_Flick
I would like to race if possible wasn't possible for me to get qualified in time this week
Looks like there's room.

Yes.

It's 1:00 PM PST and I believe that translates to 9 PM GST.

Funny because I was doubting the time yesterday so I checked. The only indication of time was the opening of the room. Mule, you may want to fix this. 👍

As for today's race, just a fair warning, I'm starting on hards. Still not sure on tire strategy. I can make the tires last long enough for two stops but... do I really want to? :indiff:

Thanks 👍

I am also not sure, RM+RH+RM or RM+RM+RH+RM?

The hards are dangerous in all these U-turns, it might be an idea to make that stint as short as possible.

Im thinking of going RM, RH, RM. Unless I lose a lot of time on RH then I'll do an extra stint on RM.

Well, it seems I had been using just one stint of RMs during the last two races, as I thought you couldn't use it more than once... but now that you say it, I think I recall using RH's just once at Fuji.

So that's part of the reason of my horrible results on the last two races! ...Haha :(

Lol.. And I forgot to use mediums completely in the last WSGTC round. The different tire rules in the different series get confusing.

I will come to the room in about 10 min.. Eating my breakfast/lunch chicken nuggets right now. Quick bite between PURE JGTC and here.

That's basically it Rees. It happened right after I started WSGTC!!

Lol Eddie 👍 . Admittedly it wouldn't have made me a winner, but perhaps one or two positions could have been won on each race, if I had used more RMs!

Well that was a complete disaster for me. Started off well, a couple of minor offs, but nothing major, was still battling with Owens, lancer, scanny.

But then I really started screwing up. Lost a couple of laps after a spin, waiting to get back on track. I caught up to Wardez who was on hards, didn't know whether to try to pass him or not, as I was faster, but it wasn't for position. Eventually he went wide off the last turn so I slipped by, but not long after, lost it in the last turn myself. I wasn't on the racing line, but I was on the track, with my nose pointing to the outside. I should have just wet through the sand, but made the stupid mistake of backing up just 2 feet, right into Wardez's path. He got a drive-through on top of that too.

I feel absolutely terrible right now.

First I would like to say that Red would have won that race had he not spun on lap 1. :)

As far as my race goes, I honestly didn't think I even had a slight chance of winning until after I made my last stop. I came out of the pits less than 20 seconds down and gaining time quickly on the the two leaders who I knew had to pit again. I think I may have pushed too hard, because at the end my tires were mush, and the only was I could hold off 2nd place was to make the car as wide as possible. :D

I didn't even know who was in 2nd until after the race, since my driver list was turned off and I refused to look back as it might screw me up. I just concentrated on keeping the car facing forward. I honestly thought it was Red catching me.

👍

Needed just 1 more lap to win this race. What a race it was, went through everything. Epic overtaking, drivers spinning, incidents, etc... Gambled in starting on hards and then push hard once on Mediums and it paid off. Congrats to RT!

Gutted that I lost this. Got a 12s lead and increasing, but the pit crew threw away 8 of them on first stop . Still kept the hunters 4-5 secs away, but later lost it all on one lap, hit Alex who was having trouble, lost the rhythm, went to the beach :ouch:

So it is 4th... again... :indiff:

Congrats to RT for taking it home on consistency (again...), and to Red for catching up from very much behind (I do not know yet what happened on lap 1).

The good news was, given the end results, that I had the winning strategy and car.

The bad news is that too many things went wrong. First, my stupid modem decides to burp and temporarily lost my connection (actually, I think the room was buggy today). I got through the lap one mess cleanly before I allowed Jason and GV through with mediums.

However, when I saw Mule on my inside approaching the final corner, I seriously thought he was going to dive bomb so I tried to give him the inside. End result is getting a touch too high on entry and of course, you're pretty much going to the grass no matter what you do. Fell back to last and I abused the car back up around 8th or 7th when I tried to pass Scanny on the outside on the last corner. He got loose and I got a small nudge which, given how worn the tires were at that point, sent me deeper into the same spot as before. Probably lost about 30 seconds with those two issues alone.

Then the game decides to make my life more miserable and chucked me out of pit road TWICE for reasons I don't know (I practiced this a few times without any issues), losing around 5-10 seconds in the process.

I'm not sure if the incident between Mule and Wardez was the one I thought had happened. I had nudged Wardez aside one or two laps earlier (Sorry about that, btw, I was FUMING mad at that point) and then I saw Mule's car around the racing line on the last corner and I barely squeaked by on the strips. I assumed Wardez hit him square since I never saw him come back to me again.

Eventually, I got to within 40 seconds of whoever the leader was after my last stop and took off 5 by the end, even after backing off because there was no hope of reaching 4th that far back. To top it off, the game disconnected about 30 seconds after I crossed the line, so I couldn't get a replay. Not sure if I even want to look at it, to be honest. :indiff:

A well earned win Jason. You are a definite master at winning races.👍

My race didn't get off to the best start.:yuck: I didn't get off the line all that well.. But I hadn't lost that much ground to Cicua by turn 1. Unfortunately, Litchi got a huge jump of the line and got to my inside at turn 1. I had no where to go, but stay slightly outside. Cicua and Litchi touched sending me really wide, and quickly I was in 5th.

In the lead up to the hairpin left, I was a little dis-combobulated, I tried to stay left as much as possible.. But Jason and I touched.. I really didn't know if a car was there or not, but tried to leave room. Sorry Jason if I screwed you up there.

After the tight right that leads to the back stretch, somehow I overcooked my rears on exit and 12th place it was. Pretty good trick to go from pole to 12th halfway through the first lap:ill:

From there I just put my head down, torched my tires, and did all I could to climb back in it.

A lot of the people in the rear were on Hards, while I started on Mediums, so I was able to climb some positions rather quickly. Thank you to many of you who left me the slightest bit of room so I could get by.👍

After several laps I was catching up to 2nd-5th I believe. I got a good run down the back stretch and was closing on Nepalii fast. I was going to take him on the inside of the final corner, but he went low to block that line. I went high. The last minute he went high right in front of me, and missed my front bumper by inches.. Then braked a good 20-30 ft before I had planned on braking, and we made contact. I guess he was trying to slow me up and block me for a while, but it caught me totally off guard, as I had come from a long way back and was clearly going much faster. I later found out he was on hards.. so I am totally confused by the move.

After a few pit stops, I was actually in first place with a 6-7 second lead. I was on a 3 stop, while I guess some of the others were on 2 stops. Coming into my final pit stop, to change from hards to mediums, I came in fairly cautiously.. But unfortunately right as the AI took control, the car touched the outside grass and spit me out through the final turn and into the sand pit.

I managed to recover.. Got back on course, and made it around to the pits. I came out of pits on lap 51, in 4th place. The podium was quite a ways ahead of me, so I just ran laps as fast as I could. I managed to catch Cicua with about 5 to go. It took me 3-4 laps, but eventually my slightly better tires won out. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to catch Nep and Turbo.

Another great display of racing again by Jason. The dude just is amazing when it comes to race time. He always does it with consideration, and clean driving. 👍👍 big props to you and your skills. (You almost sounded like you didn't want to race today too.)

I had basically no grip at the start, so I tried switching to DS3. Ended up pulling my keyboard's cord out, not the G27, an ended up in the litter box. It was fine when the random left, so I switched back at the first pit stop. Managed to pass Owens, Mule, and Scanny, but lost the spot to Scanny and nearly the one to Owens after spins, but I got lucky on scoring :D

Had a nice pass on Wardez, I'm assuming he was on hards at that point.

You know, I'm almost certain that happened to me on the last stop. The car swerved for no apparent reason, one of my rears touched the grass and I got thrown out. Fortunately, I gathered it but still lost a fair bit of time. :ouch:

I wasn't trying to block you at all. I was braking eariler and doing different driving lines as I was on hards. You just pushed me. Luckily i didnt hit the grass, but lost lot of time. If it wasn't for that push I would have won. But oh well. Race went pretty smooth anyways, considering how tight Tsukuba is.

It dropped me back a spot or two, but no big deal I had expected much worse than that on the first lap. :sly:

I think with everyone else's issues, this one practically just fell in my lap. Even if 2nd place (at the time I thought was you) got past me, I wasn't going to complain. Hell I would have been happy with 3rd, which is where I ran most of the race. Not only that, for some reason my pit crew was brilliant today. 3-4 second pit stops were the norm, and I got lucky that there was no more than 1 other car on pit road each time I came in.

I think everyone had super fast pitstops today. Likely added in some time so we aren't going 3/4 of a lap down every stop.

Also, here are the results (forgot to take a picture, apparently. Last few might be wrong):

1. R1600Turbo
2. NEPALII
3. RedReevos
4. GTP_Cicua
5. outlaw4rc
6. Wardez
7. GTP_Litchi
8. GV27-
9. Scanny_Flick
10. GTP_LancerEvo7
11. OwensRacing
12. Me

Yeah if there's no pit crew then we get those super fast Ferrari 2 second pit stops like in freerun, as long as you don't take fuel. So weird. I think it's a bug and no a feature 'cause the only reason there's no pit crew animations at Tsukuba is 'cause it's such a small pit lane.

I think they should give us the super fast pit stop animations as well. Only problem is not many cars have center-lock wheels so it would look weird with those that don't.

This would of been good info. Flat took me mentally out of the race. Well that an lancer stepping the rear out when I was close. Drove into you from end as I seen you wasn't gonna catch that spin. Your welcome for saving you. ;) then again I kinda made things nervous by coming inside there. LoL

So into the pit running with two others. They take off. I am waiting in pit and then off I go. Lost these guys and dead last. Mentally was tweaked over what just happen. Then next out came and I took no fuel not the normal 8liters that doesn't cost me time. Bingo no crew fast pit stops. PD you are so inconsistent. Ugggg I truly love/hate you.

So rest the race was just cruise control and hope to catch anyone making mistakes.

All in all it was fun cause this car is fun. I could listen to that Rotary engine sing all day. No I'm not a rotor head. I do respect and like them though. LoL

See you all this week.

Thanks, I tried to do the same to you when you got sideways close to halfway. Not sure if it helped as much as you did me though.
