Q about GT5 trolls

Once again....

Probably what this guy is doing is coming in without his mic on (so there will NOT be a mute button) and when the race starts turn it back on. Then after the race ends turns it back off.
 
Kik and block, it may not prevent ALL troll dickweeds from coming in but it will slowly deplete the amount.
 
I host and sometimes I hate it because I have to hop out of race to kick someone. Usually a couple times a night.
It is the price you pay for being in charge.
I know the host didn't do that in this case, just for the video - but...
kick and block- that is the best you can do.
 
When, I saw the video, I couldn't stop laughting. I can see it's annoying when/if this have happened multiple times.

- This might have been said before, but if you race the same guys, (every evening?) - why don't you make a private lounge instead? This way, you won't have, this guy/girl/kid or whatever he/she is, joining and annoying you. It's honestly as simple as that. It also seemed like you "scared" him off, with the "SONY's gon'na IP-ban 'ya"-phrase, - but I honestly think, they wont bother.

You might want to see it from his point of view, which can be hard. I guess this person, have got nothing to do, is living alone, might not have a job and, most important, the person's bored, and seeing other people getting mad, probably satisfy him. What can be done about that? - Nothing, actually. You however, can use the private lounge, chat via skype/etc. and disallow the usage of microphones in the (public) server, you could only allow the number of persons, including you and your friends only (8 people?) to get into the server - and by that "max out" the server. Or something else - you can choose yourself, but the smartest solution is to race in a lounge 👍.

It would be common sense for PD to allow hosts to kick people out of the room without having to quit the race, but PD don't do common sense.

Add a new feature where the AI takes over driving your car when you press the Start button, do this on the straight & kick the troll, then carry on racing. Job done! 👍

How would it be common sense to allow that?

Reasons it will not be common sense.
1. You are driving. Nothing else should you be doing.
2. I can see it now. A sore loser host that wants to win and not be beaten so then kicks the people in front of him who are winning.

Those two reasons are enough to say no to having that ability while in a race.

Still no sense in that. The AI sucks anyway
 
It would make sense because having to kick a bad driver at the start of a 10 lap race at the moment, results in the host missing the entire race. Being able to kick bad drivers whilst racing would mean that the host could continue racing, & if bad drivers knew they'd be kicked straight away, that would be an added deterent.

Having the AI drive your car wouldn't be a problem, like I said press Start "ON THE STRAIGHT", the AI are always flat out on the straights anyway so it would make no difference to your speed.

Point being sure those guys were annoyed. But they made it worse by getting mad. Trust me getting mad or acting like it is only fueling it. Once again trolling 101

Sorry about that, I find it kind of funny, but if it keeps happening like you say, I understand.
Just kick him and have everyone add him to their block list, as everyone has already posted... *ahem*
On a different note when that guy talks, he sounds kind of like Meatwad.
 
I'll tell all of you guys again. This guy has "NOTHING" to do with his time but troll. He makes new accounts everytime we block him. He's coming into the rooms after the race has started, and as soon as he sees the host back out, he leaves before he can be booted, then chronic blocks him. And he makes a new name and we do it all over again. And yes he is doing something wrong, it's Harassment, and Stalking both of which are illegal for those who don't know. Who cares if it isn't IRL. He goes looking for and follows us to rooms where we aren't host, and does it on the names we have blocked. It's nothing but BS. But it's okay, he can be a little kid all day long. And My team and I will know he's just a coward who likes to bully on the internet because he's too weak to be a douche IRL.

For the other persons who replied, I don't give a rats ass about booting in-race. We just want mute in-race. But you know what... we may just start going no mics.. and see if anyone comes into our rooms when they have to type... thanks to a punk with no life or friends.

Well sure stalking is illegal in certain circumstances. But it is different online. What he is doing is NOT illegal in anyway. See with him using a voice changer makes it harder for you to figure out who it is. And it is probably someone that doesn't like you guys

I mean you guys getting mad will just make it worse for yourselves.
Getting mad with a troll solves absolutely nothing. Just makes trolls get more fun out of it.

If i was doing this to you (i for sure wouldn't use a voice changer while doing it) and you guys got mad it would just make me want to do it more and more and more.

Well you broke the number one rule with trolls, don't feed them. Kick & Mute without saying a word. As long as you respond to him he'll keep coming back. Trolls are a lot like toddlers, stop giving them the attention and they'll soon get bored of what they're doing.

Whenever they appear nobody from your team even acknowledge him, pretend he isn't there until you can kick him. As long as you keep responding, he'll keep coming back for more.
 
Well, if he comes into your room then why can't you kick him or mute him? if he creates another account then kick him. I'm sure his buddies will be too tired to troll for a week...
 
Also kicking also won't work because i got kicked due to me not there friends but when I search for a new room, I see the same room with the same owner.
1 more thing making a lounge room is the only way i think of to get him out of your hair

Kicking doesn't erase the visibility of the room, it just prevents you from re-entering for 24 hours.

Unless you want the thread locked I'd take down that PSN ID, especially since you aren't even sure it's the right guy. They don't take kindly to naming names around here.

You know just a question how about you just disable mics hahahahahahaha. Man i want to be there when that happens again (which him getting mad pretty much will garentee that)
 
Can't do that because it's less fun, and a little problematic. It's best to be able to say clear high.. car low... ect. also, it's helps with pitting together.
 
The best strategy is to simply ignore trolls. If you're the host you can kick them, but if not just ignore. Trolls feed on reactions, when they don't get any they fade away. After all, from the troll's perspective, the fun part is not to cause crashes, to be rude or to play annoying music (if it were they could just as well troll the AI...) - the fun part is getting the reactions for doing so.
 
He doesn't bother me all that much... Chronic is the one he's there to piss off. And I don't know anyone who can concentrate while listening to this guys dumb ass music. And that's the whole point... I think if you're not in the race, your mic shouldn't even key up while it's running.
